Find out what Peruvian restaurants to try in Cartagena. Cartagena, a gorgeous fishing village on Colombia's Caribbean coast, has excellent beaches, a historic old town (that's entirely walkable) and beautiful colonial architecture. It's also one of the safest places in the country, so it's no wonder it's a popular port of call for cruise ships. Need a break from exploring the cobblestone streets? Stop at an outdoor cafe for excellent pastries and people-watching.

We are a restaurant located in the historic center of Cartagena. Our menu specializes in the fusion of Peruvian and Japanese food. We have the best sushi in the City.
Our hotel told us this restaurant was not on its list but we came anyway and were certainly not disappointed. In fact it was a great experience overall. The restaurant is modern, extraordinarily well run and the staff are both friendly and efficient. They work very well together in a set up of a long preparation area and tables across. The music, if you like spirited modern, was not live but the best tapes of modern dance music not played too loudly. The menu is very interesting and we had dishes we had never had before. Of special note was the Tiradito, thin slices of fish (or other) and we had octopus, served in lime juice. The Arroz con Mariscos was substantial and well priced. We had them make up a vegetable main dish as there are sides but no vegetable dishes on the menue. The decor was like much of Cartagena modern and tasteful, but this one had a special effect in the hanging canoe and other weavings. Yeison our camarero spoke great English when our Spanish failed. The bar is sufficient though limited in some things. I saw the sushi platters and they looked great. Thumbs up and give it a try.

The crunchy tacos and the tataki salad were good. The passion fruit sauce on the salmon tiradito was a touch too sweet. A small cup of sushi rice cost 15,000 pesos, which seemed a bit pricey. We did not get the sushiâit seemed to veer either towards ceviche sauce or be swimming in mayo.

Delight your senses with flavors, smells and colors in a romantic atmosphere, where the history, architecture and the feel of our culture come together. We are the essence of traditional cuisine that has the strength of history, emanating its indigenous,
We had a corporate dinner function for about 80 people and everything was perfect. One of the most attentive staff I have ever worked with. The drinks were great and in constant supply. There was so much food that I could barely finish dinner. The buffet line was well managed. A 3 piece band played great Latin music on the balcony. They were set perfectly for 80 people so it wasn't crowded but still intimate. I was completely impressed by the entire event. GREAT JOB!!Dear Vaughn68,Thank you for choosing us to celebrate that special date for the Company.Thank you for your comments and for your time, for the Montesacro restaurant and its team, it has been a real pleasure to have reached expectations, remember that the next visit to Cartagena, your home, Montesacro, will be waiting for you..

Specialized place in "cebiches or seviches" (name without definite spelling). Fish dish or fresh seafood cut into small pieces and marinated in a marinade preparation of lemon juice, chopped onion, salt, pepper, cilantro and other ingredients in the case
The ceviche here was good not the best in Cartagena (read my other reviews). The atmosphere is dark as you walk down from street level. They only have ceviche on the menu. The service here was real bad..had to walk up and find our waitress each time we wanted something. There are better places in Cartagena for ceviche.que extraño, hace un mes que ampliamos la cocina y ahora tenemos asados de carne y pollo, aparte de hamburguesas. creo que ud esta hablando sin conocimiento., esta seguro que estuvo en nuestro negocio.

Extremely friendly staff. Food was very good as well as our drinks. Our waiter, Jose, was supper attentive and very nice. They have a sommelier tending to wine aficionados, which I found supper nice. I truly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for Peruvian food.HelloThank you for taking your time to share your experience at Gran Inka Gastrobar. We think service is the key to be a good restaurant that's why our staff is always up to give the best to each one of our customers. Hope you can come back when you're back in town.
