We found Sandoni by chanceLet me explain, we arrived at our booked restaurant late due to a traffic jam. We are hungry and tired but the restaurant just turned us away, telling us it's closed. We have drove for hours just to go there, and it's sad we are treated like this. But I understand it may be their way of doing business. So on our way back to the express way, we found this restaurant nearby on google map. The cashier/owner still receive us at 3pm even thou most of the kitchen is closed. And We had the best seafood pasta in our lifetime. Pasta is soft but bouncy, seafood sauce is cooked with taste of excellent broth filled with fresh prawn head sweetness, there are lobster, prawn, squid, inside the seafood pasta. Very delicious. We went back again for takeaway the next dayTwo Thumbs UpDefinitely worth a visit, and I dare to say it's even better than some Michelin starred restaurant I have eaten before.Excellent Food, Excellent Service

We spent two evenings here while renting a house in Castel de Britti and both occasions were thoroughly enjoyable. The restaurant specialises in local dishes and has a good selection of wine from the area. On our first evening we were taken through the menu by the owner who spoke very good English and we decided upon a selection of starters including the local crescentine bread for us all to share. Some of the dishes that appeared were not on the menu and were substantial enough to be a meal in itself! Not knowing anything about the local wine we asked for it to be chosen for us and a great selection was provided. For the main course we tried pasta dishes which showcased the local vegetables in season. On the second evening we sampled a number of the meat dishes all of which were excellent and were accompanied by a dish of courgette cut into strips and deep fried in a light batter. Delicious and something we all want to experiment with at home! All in all this is the sort is restaurant we all wish we had at the bottom of our street - great food, great service and great atmosphere.

Very nice location in a renovated barn. The food was ok but not great (at least for locals' standard). The tagliatelle were too salty and with too little pasta in comparison to the amount of ragù.Cotoletta bolognese was rather heavy and with more bechamel than parmesan. The place lacks a chef that gives the right balance and character to the dishes. To be improved!

Il ristorante si trova in una proprietà di 90 ettari di terreno immerso nel verde della campagna di Castel san Pietro terme, i piattti che proponiamo sono strettamente della tradizione Bolognese con materie di prima scelta e in più disponiamo di una vasta
Would never have even thought of this venue, without our local hosts. It's on a horse race training ground. This was an exceptional meal of pumpkin starter, pasta course, beef main and dessert. Great wines and other spirits. Our group was international and all thought the food was the best during our days in the city of Bologna (and between us we visited about a lot!). The amazing dish was the most seemingly simple of tortellini with ricotta, but it was incredible. On the main course, the beef was cooked perfectly. The other pasta dish with bacon cooked in grappa for 10 hours. It was a three hour lunch of simple and highly satisfying food.

La Pizacra was founded in 1920 as a tavern for hunters and then became a restaurant in the 60s thanks to the legendary Alfonsina. We wanted to revive some of the ancient recipes that made this symbolic place in the Idice valley. Our sfogline and our cook
On the road from Bologna to Florence, no highways, Via Idice at San Chierico is La Pizacra, I must say that so far one of the best, if not the best restaurant I have try in Italy

On the outskirts of Bologna, more than one hundred years, you can taste the traditional cuisine of Bologna. In a small medieval village on the borders of the regional park Gessi Bolognesi and dell'Abbadessa gullies, open the doors of a family-run inn that
My wife and I had some beautiful food in a true italian Osteria. It was a great night and the service was excellent. This authentic osteria provided us with a short getaway from reality. The good red house wine did help. The only problem is that we could not get a taxi back to our hotel. The owner of the Osteria was kind enough to give us a ride. Thank you! Make sure you get home without a taxi!

Locale in stile moderno con la cucina a vista. Personale cortese e servizio abbastanza veloce. Il menù contiene proposte diverse dal solito. Discreti i primi piatti così come i secondi. Rapporto qualità /prezzo corretto.

The Restaurant "La Vecchia Locanda" was born from the meet between Sabrina and Gaetano and by their common love for the traditional cuisine, authentic and refined. A few kilometers from Bologna, nestled in a beautiful seventeenth-century court, called Olm
We were in Bologna for a wedding and were looking for a nearby place to eat some home-style food and good steak. This place is fantastic! The hosts always greet you with a glass of prosecco and an appetizer, then you can choose a variety of home- made pasta or beef dishes. They have a menu in English but I recommend checking the Italian one with the google translate app because it has more variety. We tried the tomowak steak which is a huge giant thick steak that you eat in at least two people. AMAZING! It's about 3 lbs of meat but they will cook it different ways if you want to share it.We were so pleased that we came back the day after for some hand made pasta. They will also give you a free shot of liquor called 'ammazza caffe' after coffee typically, it's part of the Italian meal tradition. If your party is big I recommend calling ahead because they have about 10 tables only. Overall a fantastic service and great food, you will be pleased! Goodmorning Sara,we are happy that you have enjoyed our restaurant, our "glass of prosecco and appetizer" welcome, our food and our service. We are proud of our variety of home- made pasta and beef dishes, so we are always happy when our customers appreciate our menu. We are also delighted that you enjoyed our tomawak and tha various way of cook. We like to know that you have also appreciated the tradition of the "ammazzacaffé".We will be happy if, during your future visits to Italy, you will come again to eat from us.Thanks You from all the Staff. Now I answer as responsible for menu translations: I hope my translations are sufficiently clear and correct. Really I think that: all the Italian menu should be translated, not just the main part, but the hosts often change the "chef proposes" menu and considere the turnout of foreign tourists insufficient to require a biweekly translation; Likewise, they prefer not to translate the tasting menus because, not knowing the other languages, they would not be able to explain the dishes present.
