We don't normally do campervans but hired one to attend an exhibition in Rome. We couldn't plan where we would stay on the way down and exhausted after pulling off the autostrada we chanced across this place. Ponte Guerro offer a gated and CCTV safe haven for truckers to park their wagons and have a separate lovely field for you park your camper in if overnighting. Do NOT be put off by this being a truck stop. This place is beautiful and a warmer welcome you could not wish for. It is spotless, warm and friendly. In spite of being a draw for motorway travellers, the restaurant is buzzing with local people too. We had some of the best food we have eaten anywhere in the world. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent in spite of the restaurant being packed. Without doubt on of the best fillet steaks I have ever eaten with a wild mushroom sauce, and awesome profiteroles! Our grappa's were on the house in the bar afterwards. In the morning we had gorgeous pastries and coffees and met Romeo the enormous black cat . Elis and Claudia have cleverly managed to create an organised smart truck and camper park and yet maintained a classy eating establishment - he even has incorporated a delicatessen of local products. I really can't fault this place, we even called back in on our way back. I very memorable stay, I think Elis is like a superman - he has his eye on the ball and makes you feel really welcome and looked after. Fantastic hosts. Thank you :)

We found this restaurant through a search on Tripadvisor as we were visiting the area one Saturday a couple of years ago.....since then it has become our absolute favourite topping our personal classification. The restaurant itself is elegant but not stuffy, the staff friendly and efficient and the food is first class.....we have never eaten the same thing twice....there is always something fresh and new on the menu. The host, Luca, is super nice and always recommends great wines to accompany our food choices. If you're ever in need of a pick-me-up after run-of-the-mill dining experiences then you can't go wrong with a visit to La Nunziadeina!

I know this restaurant from many years. I find the same good quality and atmosphere any time. It's located very closed to the Modena South highway exit and I think it's the perfect location to taste the famous Emilia's mood. The cookery is traditional : assortment of cured meat and Parmiggiano cheese as starters; home made pasta (tagliatelle, tortellini, lasagna etc. ) with meat sauce or in soup; grilled or baked meat and the cart of boiled meat for the lovers !You eat hemmed in a collection of Ferrari's memorabilia so you have a full experience for the taste and for the eyes.

... Good Traditional Emilian Food and Original home made Balsamic Vinegar ... Hand made egg pasta, seasonl fresh mushrooms and excellent Italian truffles. THE RESTAURANT WILL BE CLOSED from the 5th till the 28th of August. Happy trip and travel.
My husband and I had dinner at La Quercia at the suggestion of our B&B. From the time we arrived the experience was enchanting. Our personable and welcoming waitress brought us the basket of bread and the fried gnocchi. From there she served us the scrumptious parmigiano reggiano drizzled with 30 year old balsamic vinegar. Our salivary glands were in high gear. Then our primo arrived! My husband had the maccheroni with fresh porcini and ragù while I delighted in the Tortelli of zucca with a sausage sauce. All the flavors were perfectly balanced. Taken by the parmigiano container, we could not help but ask about it. Well it was for purchase. So we left with a lovely memory of the evening. But that is not all. Upon exiting we were saluted by white geese and not only. Next to our vehicle was a Maserati and only a few steps away we saw a Pagani. Yes, we had dinner at the perfect location.

We absolutely loved this restaurant, we suggest making a reso straight away, don't hesitate. We did two different tasting menus with wine pairings. This allowed us to try the different flavors. The price was very good considering the quality of both food and wine and they were very generous with the wine. If only we lived closer, we would definitely go often. TripAdvisor is bang on with the reviews, go before the waiting lists become too long!

An excellent place for a cheap and cheerful meal where the food is good and the young owners are enthusiastic and very friendly. We arrived on the recmmendation of the Agriturismo where we were staying, 5 minutes' drive away and were welcomed warmly. It was easy to find, on the main road from Modena and just entering Castelfranco Emilia, no problem parking outside and plenty of room inside. Not a posh place, but just the thing for a weekday when you don't want to push the boat out. We had delicious home-made pasta, fried chicken and chips and a desert to die for. I felt a bit ashamed of passing up on the large array of home-made puds to choose one that was bought in but it looked so good - and tasted even better! Namely, sweet Sicilian Canelli - rather like brandy snaps, filled with chocolate and cream. We shared a plate of four, but one each would have been filling enough. The wine was fine, and our bill was among the cheapest we had during a fortnight in Italy.
