Things to do in Manukau
We spent a lovely 3 nights. The atmosphere created is so relaxing and the staff and food wonderful. Straight from arrival Sean took a personal interest in our stay and needs, the food was amazing, especially the breakfasts which each day were original and delicious. We would recommend thoroughly and hope one day to be back.
This place is newly opened so we opted to try it since their menu was quite interesting. Its located in Botany Junction between Spices and Celcius so not too hard to find. As expected they have an animal themed decor with quite nice murals on the wall.We ordered a few things to share. We started with the popcorn karaage as well as the eel tapas and both were nice. We then had the beef wellington, the T-Rex burger, and the squid ink pasta. The pasta was nice but thought the pasta itself was a bit too al dente. The T-Rex burger was interesting since the buns were deep fried. It gave it a different flavour and texture to other burgers. The Wellington was alright since the pastry was crisp and not soggy. It did come with a clove of roasted garlic which was raw and I wasn't a fan of the super tart sauce. The Wellington also came with two sides so it was a decent amount of food. Both the kumara wedges and fried veges were nice. The food here is quite nice. The service is also very good. Sadly their dessert options are lacking and not that interesting so didn't try any.

We were a party of only three dining in a room of other such groups, but other rooms catered for larger groups and being the time of year there were families and work outings. Food was yummy, service was prompt and friendly but not overly polished in practice. We enjoyed ourselves and will return.

For a place that has Steak in their name, and pride themselves on them. You would think they would know how to cook a steak properly. The menu was vast and all the food looked lovely, but after ordering a medium Rare Steak and received a rare (at best) steak I wasn't very impressed, the lavour was good and the peppercorn sauce tasty. The only reason I didn't send it back was because I was on a time schedule and didn't have the time to wait for them to cook another steak or to re-cook this one. Otherwise i would have sent it back immediately. Utterly disappointed.

Firstly, the good news. The coffee really is very good and the food is good (albeit not exceptional). But the service is perennially average at best (and below average on some occasions) and the prices are very definitely on the high side. You know you're in trouble when they don't show their prices next to the food itself. The tables are just that little bit too close together and so you don't feel you have privacy and the place is a little cramped anyway. It's not the worst but it certainly isn't the best in the vicinity although it charges as if it is.

Another visit to one of my favourite steak houses. My New York strip was perfectly cooked and little Missâ hot dog also got the thumbs up. 2 clean plates showed we both enjoyed our meals. Weâll be back!

Didn't have time available to eat here but someone told me the coffee was great, so I took a10 minute coffee break. After resisting the delicious looking treats I enjoyed my coffee and the friendly vibe.I'll pass on the recommendation and if I'm back in the area I'll try some good next time.

Good place on of very few on Half Moon Bay waterfront, with a reasonable menu and good choice of drinks including tap beer and selection of New Zealand wines. Could be a little bit crowded at times with waiting time longer than comfortable. The location is great in the good sunny day.
