Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The food was amazing, beautifuly spiced without being overdone. I had the eggplant salad (divine!), perfectly marinated chicken kebabs, and a lovely green sald with sunflower seeds and a tart dressing. Yum. My friends had the lamb tagine and it was beautifuly prepared and seasoned, arrived at the table piping hot with homemade pita. I was lucky enough to have a taste, and next time that is what I will order (with the eggplant, of course). The desserts were equally fabulous. Lovely sorbets with Mediterranean flavorings, unusual but very tasty and refreshing. All the sorbets were served with a small pastry--one a crunchy version of a sugar cookie, one with dates, and another with sesame seeds. More yum. And I haven't even talked about the wine the owner recommended--went perfectly with the meal--or the nice decor--or how friendly and helpful the owner and cooks were helping us make our choices. And best of all, the price was fair, well below what I am used to paying for a comparable meal in the UK or the USA. Go try it, you'll be glad you did.

A small restaurant close to the theatre providing excellent quality food at a fair price. French cuisine with a strong Moroccan influence
One of the best adddesses in town. Tasty food, friendly service and pleasant setting. The combination of Mediterranean spices/cooking methods and traditional French cuisine gives birth to flavorfull and surprising dishes.Service can be a little chaotic when the place fills up...

Was out in Perpignan on a Monday night trying to find a place open for dinner. Came across Cafe LâArganier which was quiet but appealing. Itâs next to the castle. Met the owner who speaks at least French, Arabic and English and was charming. Had excellent tagines (monkfish with preserved lemon and lamb with figs) and a bottle of local red wine. What else does one need? All in all a great choice and always nice to support locally owned and operated restaurants! Hi!Thanks a lot for your nice comment and hope see you very soon !
