Things to do in Asilah
Restaurant serving typical Marocan dishes such as various fish dishes, several tajines and couscous.
Owner must have thought we were two stupid female British tourists. We ordered sole, clearly marked on the right hand side of the English menu, at 60 MAD. The other side showed prices by the kilo at 150 MAD. We saw the 10% added service charge. I observed, after ordering, there were only 5 reviews. He told us lots of French came. We both knew the French were very discerning! The grilled sole was copious and good accompanied by an attentive cat waiting for scraps and delicious spiced mixed vegetables. But when the bill came, without the name of the restaurant, it said 300 MAD, gave the weight plus service - 330 MAD INSTEAD of 120 MAD plus service. A big argument ensued when he insisted we had had a big sole plus salad and vegetables! What a stupid man, we were conveniently staying around the corner and would have eaten there again during our stay. No way after trying to rip us off. He wouldnât have tried with two men. In the end we paid 150 MAD - kif, Kif! Welcome to Asilah!

Fish not fresh. Good service. Price very very low. If you eat just for feeding "low cost" could be OK but if you look for quality food non go there. Unlucky when we paid I see they have some extra menu fresh fish of the day, but in a sea place you deserve fresh fish without asking for it.

We were party of four including two teenagers traveling to Morocco from United states. The food was excellent. We felt at home even we could speak to mom (the owner) who was cooking the meals. I recommend to any Americans traveling to that part the world to try the food. Do not go to fancy ones near by because they charge you arm and hammer.

Excellent fried fish platter, expertly done and very fresh. I recommend the sole. Four sole for 50dh is excellent! The owner is very nice, you will have to note that this is a very small family run sort of establishment so the service can be a little slow, but the platter is great!!

We were so hungry after a day of travel and walked by this place and saw many people outside so we decided to try. My friend ordered chicken swarma and I got the chicken panini (each 35 dirham). We each got a smoothie (20-22 dirham). Both the smoothies were good. My friends chicken shawarma was very good and when we go back we will get this again. The chicken panini was good - a lot of cheese and chicken. Both our meals came with fries. We saw others getting the strawberry milkshake so decided to split one. It was very good and very thick - similar to what we would have at home. We will be returning and each getting our own milkshakes ! Everything was good and we will be returning tomorrow. The service was quick and friendly. Our whole meal came out to 140âdirham.

We were in Asilah at the start of November and we spend one night in Asilah. We wanted to find some cheap restaurant but also good quality. This restaurant was full of people, that's why we entered. We ordered pizza and it tasted really good. We were satisfied. We just had to wait for a while. One grande pizza was for 50 dirhams/5 euro.

I'm solo low-budget traveler. This is not a place, where you could stay usually, but I was lucky to be able to stay (I got it as a last resort place to stay, huh). I have to mention, that this is not ordinary place: very silent, stylish traditional moroccan-french environment (the landlady is french), food is nicely prepared and served, very minimalistic/essential only for those who wants to stay (as I mentioned - usually it is restaurant only). NOTE: place is very very particular: stylish (like museum for me), but very silent (might be bit uncomfortable for someone). If you want to have some moroccan show, better don't go here!!! But if you want silent, friendly, intimate environment - very very good place to go.Thanks Sabrina!
