Reviews on Mongolian food in Mongolia, Mongolia. Mongolia /mɒŋˈɡoʊliə/ ( listen) (Monggol Ulus in Mongolian; Монгол Улс in Mongolian Cyrillic) is a landlocked unitary sovereign state in East Asia. Its area is roughly equivalent with the historical territory of Outer Mongolia, and that term is sometimes used to refer to the current state. It is sandwiched between China to the south and Russia to the north. Mongolia does not share a border with Kazakhstan, although only 37 kilometres (23 mi) separates them.

Little Sheep Hot Pot is a fastest growing chain restaurant brand of 2017 that has over 400 stores worldwide. We specialize in traditional Mongolian Nomadic cuisine known by its popular medical herbs and spices.
Itâs a good restaurant with plenty of sitting options. We were there for lunch, price is reasonable. They have English menu. We had meat platter, fried fish, egg fried rice & salad. All foods were good. We had tour guide with us & she translated our need to waitress. They donât bring drinks for all at the same time & same for food, whatever is ready they bring it first. Itâs probably like this in Mongolia, i have noticed it in another restaurants too. They forgot about one of our meal, two meals came to the table with a big gap in between, we thought they were preparing the third meal (3 of us were there), 2 of us almost finished our food, third meal was not there yet, we reminded them twice and at last it came. As they forgot about it, provided a complementary fried rice. Also forgot to give utensils! The service is very bad but the food is good.

Nestled in the heart of the iconic Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace in central Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, âKhanâs Korazonâ is the first of its kind in the capital city. Finally, a special hangout spot for friends, coworkers, and families to come relax and share in
Beautiful atmosphere, really nice bar, wonderful and creative selection of cocktails, excellent service and friendly staff. The manager of the hotel, Dirk Bansemer and event manager Tamir Tsolmon do a wonderful job at running the hotel And overseeing conferences. I had a medical conference there and it was run superbly. Would definitely recommend this hotel for medical conferences and, this lounge is a great place for socializing and relaxing

Waiters were so slow that I had to go by myself to place an order.Although I ordered Espresso and Americano (the place literally had only one table besides us) it took them 15minutes to serve us. We were about to leave when our order arrived. If 2 coffees take that much time, how long does one have to wait for a meal?

Friendly and helpful staff, & is a fun place where you can select your own veg and meat and concoct your own sauces, then watch the chef stir-fry this on the hot plate. I was really disappointed with the meal - I have really tasty Mongolian BBQ in HK & in London & was really looking forward to the real deal here but the restaurant seemed to principally cater to large tour groups.

My Mongolian host took me to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. It is a good introduction to Mongolian food, with menus full of photos and English explanations. There is a huge variety of drinks and dishes to choose from, even for vegetarians. I wouldn't call what I had very tasty, but it was interesting.Service is a bit slow, so it is best to have a meal here if you are not in a hurry. Prices are very reasonable.

Ate here while in the city of Ulaanbataar. We had a delicious meal in a small private room. You chose a soup into which you add noodles, meat and veg. You turn on a hot plate and your dish cooks in front of you. The result is unique and delicious. It's great for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I would definately recommend it.

Having spent two weeks in the countryside eating mutton, it was a delight to find this small vegan restaurant in the streets of Ulaanbaatar. Not only was the food good, it was very cheap. A vegan burger and chips, and veggie spaghetti bolognaise came to 25,000MNT (around $9.50). The restaurant is two rooms in an older style building. Service was certainly friendly although had to wait around 15 minutes for the food to come out. Well worth the 10 minute walk down here from the Holiday Inn.
