Teddington is on the north bank of the Thames, just after the start of a long meander, between Hampton Wick and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. Mostly residential, it stretches from the Thames to Bushy Park with a long high street reaching down to pubs, restaurants, leisure premises, fields and fitness clubs by the riverside, having a pedestrian suspension bridge over the lowest non-tidal lock on the Thames, Teddington Lock. Teddington's centre is mid-rise urban development.

Had a really good dining experience here - good service from the staff and an excellent ranger of food. Good choice of hot and cold mezza and main meals. Both agreed that you could have an excellent dining experience with just choosing from these mezza options instead of having main meals if you fancied a variety of dishes. Classic Tabouleh was very nice and we also had Foul Moudammas and Fatayer for starters, all very good and served with flat bread. The mixed grill was excellent - all the meat cooked perfectly. Bottle of smooth Lebanese red at £28 added to the overall great experience. Definitely recommend a visit.

Mixed reviews for the breakfasts. I had an omelette which was very nice and a generous portion. Some of us added grilled onions to our meals which were delicious. Others in the group thought that the sausages were tasteless and poor quality and the fried bread was full of oil and inedible. Overall it was agreed that we would come again as the service was friendly and most of the food was good.

This place has everything going for it.First and foremost the food is delicious. They somehow manage to transform ingredients that youâre used to seeing into rich, mouth watering delights (which look pretty good too). Iâd definitely recommend the Shishandaz - it was incredible. The service was great. The women who was running the front did a heroic job, especially as the place was a 100% full the entire time weâre there. People just kept coming; although fortunately no-one seemed to have to wait long for a table. When there was a tiny issue with our order they were incredibly apologetic and went out of their way to rectify it.The decoration is interesting, with lots of little stylish touches. Overall we canât wait to go back.

Yesterday my wife and I came across this fantastic little restaurant when looking somewhere different for lunch. Had supper here on a summer Tuesday. It was well patronised but not full. We liked our table in the 'library', service was good. As the food was described as tapas we expected all our choices to arrive at the same time, however they came sequentially, which turned out to be a good thing as the portions of most of them were generous. Particular favourites were the blackened cod - melting flakes of fish encased in a light batter coloured with squid ink, lamb which came with tender green beans, and the toast with aubergine puree. Items on the menu change regularly, so worth a return visit when we next are in the area.

So generous and kind. Wonderful impromptu lunch. Jonas - was fantastic! So considerate and helpful. He made us feel so welcome. The food is delicious (++) and a reasonable price. The bread, baklava and water were flowing like the Thames.Excellent. Must try.
