Booked here for a family meal, after reading the reviews we thought we would take a chance and try the turkish kitchen as we've tried many cuisines over the years and not Turkish food for a while. We were met with a friendly smile but I was a little put off by the layout and decor of the place. The front is a take away service, which is off putting for those who come to eat as a family especially where the venue is situated. Our server was lovely, we waited a good 10 minutes before we were served, which was a little irksome as the place only had 2 other tables that were occupied and we had a child with us. When our order was taken by the lovely Cuban waitress (we didn't get her name) we thought we would try a few small dishes. We ordered:Lamb ribsTurkish saladLamb tagineAnd chicken skewers for the little one.Within 2 minutes of our order being taken we had food delivered to our table. Shame it was someone else's food (and it looked awful)Half an hour after ordering (again still just us and two other tables!l we finally recieved bread, a dish of our Turkish salad and drinks. The bread was delicious! But the salad was not at all as described, instead of the turkish special salad (its pomegranate, onions tomatoes and peppers with a fes other bits) we ended up with a salad from the take away section!Waitress apologised and took it off our bill. When our main food arrived (a good 40 minutes after ordering) it was dreadfulMy daughters meal was supposed to come with chips and salads and be on skewers. It came with cold chips and chicken plonked on a plate. My mothers was lamb tagine with rice and salad, she ended up with an okra tagine with a tiny bite of lamb, rice chips! And no salad. It was awful, if she wanted an okra tagine then she would have ordered one.Lamb ribs: this was also supposed to come with salad and rice, what I had was fatty tiny ribs with barely a spec of meat on them, cold rice and no salad. It was inedible even after trying to add flavour to it with chili sauce. For an birthday meal, I was thoroughly disappointed, it didnt end up a happy birthday. We had a polite disagreement with the owner over everything and he promised to take my awful meal and the wrong salad off the bill. When we went to pay, the salad was still on the bill and we had to then argue the issue a little more.Overall the only redeeming quality was pur waitress, who I wanted to tip bit management wouldn't allow it! Which is most upsetting. As a female buisness owner I feel it's always always imperative to tip waitresses or those who provide a service as this is often much needed garnish to wages. To be dominated in such an awful manner by the owner thoroughly disgusted me and she should have been allowed a tip as she was the only one to earn it! Lastly. While we were waiting and while.we were eating we saw staff walking back and forth the floor with uncooked meat on display, uncooked bloody meat in carrier bags! Dripping everywhere and various other uncooked food being carted back and forth. Most unhygienic and makes you worry about the cleanliness and hygieneWe would never attend again, not just because of the bad food but 100 percent because of the poor treatment of the waitresses, to be treated like a second class citizen in front of customers made my blood boil.

Went here with family in the evening, will be the first and last time. We're sat down,we ordered our food chicken sharwama wrap with chips, khufta khus khus with rice, half chicken with chips, chicken steak burger and drinks. The waitress took our order, they don't do drinks in jugs so only cans, when the food arrived it didn't look very appetising, the chicken was given with rice so asked waiter to change it for chips and she got me another bowl of chips which I was charged for. The chicken was dry and burnt, had a horrible taste so didn't eat it,the rice was so dry with no gravy. They seem to leave bread on table which goes crispy,no sauces on the table. When it came to paying told manager that chicken was charcoal he said it's grilled I told him it was black left a funny tast in my mouth and that I had not eaten it and also I had asked for chips instead of rice and I got charged for them. Left the restaurant feeling hungry the bill came to £43. I have eaten many middle eastern food and I have to say this was the worse.

Staff were friendly and the place was clean but outside was disgusting with loads of black bags waiting to be picked up. I donât know how often the council picks up restaurant waste but obviously itâs not often enough. This was a real eye sore and an attraction for vermin. As for our food hubbyâs lamb guvech was lovely but I wasnât so impressed with my mixed grill. Lamb chop and chicken wings were lovely. Skewer of Adana was also good. But the chicken Beyti and chicken shish were dry. Salad was only lettuce and tomato. Rice was fine. Will we come back? Yes but Iâll probably have what hubby had this time.

We enjoyed our dinner although we didn't think outstanding - would have been better is main came with some sort of dip eg hummus or yoghurt sauce. Busy and popular.

Visited this restaurant recently whilst in Swansea for a break. We were very impressed - the food is very tasty and we liked the hot grill located in the restaurant so you could see your food being prepared from fresh. The service was excellent and our hosts very hospitable. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
