Skardu is located in the 10 kilometres (6 miles) wide by 40 kilometres (25 miles) long Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers at an altitude of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet). The city is an important gateway to the eight-thousanders of the nearby Karakoram Mountain range. The town is located on the Indus river, which separates the Karakoram Range from the Himalayas.

City Inn Restaurant only known between locals as the best Pakistani restaurant in town.Local price. Real Pakistani food. And tasty. Another thing I am quite impressive with this restaurant is about speed in service.You do not have to wait so long to get your food.Normally when you go to Pakistani restaurant and order something sometimes it may take more than 30 mins just to eat some normal food although the restaurant is not crowded.A bad example is a restaurant in PTDC Skardu. The food always slow there.A must visit restaurant if you go to Skardu!Recommended.PS: Restaurant actually provided menu in English.
