Lots is being written about Mama Susu. Her story telling, her charm, her friendliness. All that is true but sometimes it overshadows the food. And it shouldn't. The food at her restaurant is to be celebrated on its own merit. Good Syrian cuisine in a town that is dominated by Lebanese offerings. A very extensive menu with large portions and homemade feel. Definitely a delight. Mama susu is just the topping.

Solid place for lunch or dinner. The diverse menu offers traditional Lebanese as well as other local and international favorites. The falafel was particularly good as were the meat pies/zaatar straight from the saaj. Downside ... expensive like all other worthy restaurants in Monrovia.
