My husband and I finally got to have lunch yesterday at Labebe after passing it by so many times. All I can say is WOW!!!! My lamb was absolutely tender and delicious as was my husbands grilled octopus. Portions for lunch were quite large and priced very reasonably. Servers Alfonso and Andrea made our lunch that much more special. We will be back!!PS Met the owner on our way out and it is obvious after speaking with him why the restaurant is so popular. Thank you!!!!

First time diner. Stopped in in Motherâs Day. Wait about 10 minutes before seated, not bad at all with no reservations. Ordered appetizer and entrees, see pics attached. Noticed other diners were given pita bread upon seating, we werenât offered any. Mushroom soup was outta this world great. Appetizer was the 5 hummus sampler and all were good though we hadda wait over 5 additional minutes for the pita bread so we could enjoy our hummus. Entree was a chicken something, forgot the name. Was good but extremely salty. The chicken also didnât feel right. Almost as a piece would have the texture of defrosting chicken in s microwave. It was cooked though but the texture had the above mentioned feel to it. Unknown if it was or wasnât, just stating my experience and my opinion. Not once did our server come over and ask how our food was. A knife, other than a butter knife to cut up the food would have been appreciated but since the server failed to come back, we hadda mane do with our butter knives. Too full for dessert, so we werenât even interested. Oh and our server arrived with our bill in hand. Food was a 4 at best. Service was a 3. Restaurant has a small lot, holds maybe 15 vehicles so if you can snag a spot it is a huge plus versus parking on the street somewhere. Would I recommend, maybe. Would I go back, probably not.

Looking for affordable delicacies about as far from Istanbul as I can imagine, i.e. on the muddy banks of the Raritan, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, two blocks from the Rutgers University campus, friends recommended Efes. Dinner was a delight. It's Turkish regional cooking, perfectly seasoned and sizzled and graciously served. We went for a combination plate of cold appetizers followed by lamb adana, a savory sausage on a skewer, for me, and shish kebab for a friend.
