A turkish proverb says that life comes through food. Which is why we are bringing our heart and soul into Saray Turkish Grill, our new Turkish restaurant located in Jesmond, Newcastle. Feel free to have a look at our menu and book a table for an unforgett
Had a lovely lunch for two. Mrs has vine leaves followed by meat balls from set menu. I had Saslik and no starter. The Saslik was really tasty. Very tender good quality meat perfectly cooked. All the food was lovely. Washed down with Efes beer. Service was friendly but unobtrusive. Nice decor and reasonable prices. I suspect we will return soon for dinner.

Papa Ganoush has been designed to have an informal, friendly & family vibe; far from a 3 -course dining experience. It's an extension to the street food feel. We believe Papa Ganoush embodies unpretentious, vibrant food and genuine great customer service.
We booked in advance as a group. Word on the street suggests that this restaurant is always fully booked so to avoid disappointment, please do book in advance. The restaurant can be difficult to find. There are actually two restaurants in the same building, an Indian downstairs and this one upstairs. I drove around several times looking for parking which can be a nightmare. The restaurant was smaller than expected. It exudes a homely cosy atmosphere. We were a group of 5. The plates on offer are very small so as a result we ordered two different plates each. This came up to less than £25 including a drink and tip.It did take a while for the food to arrive but when it did, wow! It was well cooked and well presented. I had pork skewers and Hiri chicken. Both dishes were very tasty, well seasoned and cooked just right. We also ordered flatbread and greens to share. My colleagues had several other dishes and all dishes were cooked to perfection.I am definitely going to visit thus restaurant again. What a lovely experience.

Ever since we opened our doors for the first time, it was always our priority offer the best of Anatolian Turkish cuisine has to offer, while making sure we reach people from all walks of life. We are rigorous about the use of quality ingredients, cooked
My family and I have eaten here several times over the past few years and always found the portions plentiful and food flavoursome. Itâs never been cheap, but previously justified against the quality of the food, good service and decent portions. We ate here last night and was very disappointed. The menu is now very overpriced and portions are very small. I ordered the lamb skewer (£17) and 4 small pieces of lamb arrived along with a tiny portion of rice? The lamb was also very tough. I certainly didnât think it was worth £17. My family ordered a variety of other main meals and all commented that they were not as flavoursome as previous meals and smaller. The service was a little slow and we were waiting on drinks for quite a while. Iâm not sure weâll be back here, which is such a shame as we previously ate here regularly. We might have given them another try, but the prices are just too high now for what you get.

1st authentic Lebanese restaurant owned by Lebanese
Just great Lebanese cooking with delightful service. The food here is simply wonderful and highly recommended. Perhaps the only issue is that portions are generous which makes it hard not to overeat. The fresh pita breads are the best we've eaten and shouldn't be missed. It has now become a must visit whenever we're in Newcastle. This is a bring your own alcohol establishment and cash only. There's a cash point accross the road. Highly recommended.Thank you for taking the time and effort to write a review on our TripAdvisor account, we are glad that you enjoyed your meal and we hope to see you very soon , beirut lounge Newcastle management .

Salash is perfect for those who are looking for traditional, freshly, lovingly prepared Turkish food. We use a charcoal grill to cook traditional Turkish dishes from recipes used in the South East Anatolia region of Turkey.
Nestled amongst the many restaurants on the popular Ocean Road is the Salash. This was my first visit during restaurant week. We opted for the £7.95 menu. The food is amazing all washed down with efess beer. Lovely atmosphere with great service . Will be back
