Given Zaher is rated very high in Den Bosch, I set to have dinner there. Expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. The service was spotless. Friendly, making you feel welcome and at home. The waiters sit with people at the table to explain the menu and exchange some words at the end of the meal. We got to know about the history of the owners and their family, why they moved to the Netherlands, how they have other restaurants, etc, during a 10 minute conversation with one of the owners who came to our table at the end of the meal. The food was great. You can choose a 3 course meal or a surprise/discovery meal. You pay the same price, 27.50, for both options. I went for the surprise meal, as I was informed I would taste 60 to 70 percent of the menu. You still get the 3 courses, starter, main and dessert, but composed of several small plates. I found everything well cooked and tasty, well balanced in flavour.I went without a reservation and luckily managed to get a table on a Saturday evening. Do make a reservation in advanced, it's quite popular and busy.If you are into middle eastern food, I really recommended you have dinner at Zaher.

These are new kids in (our) town. Refreshing. Shared dining, which means that you order (mainly small) dishes, for instance two at a time, which you share. After that two more, and so on. Very original and very tasty dishes. Among the six we had (for two persons) there was slightly grilled salmon, eel with mint and compote of peas, also grilled melon (!), also hamachi (fish, japanese style) with.....rhubarb. All excellent in cuisine and taste. Also available lamb and veal in new style.Attentive service, nice choice of wines, outdoor seating when the weather allows.
