We had a group of people on Saturday night. Banquet menus are fantastic and very generous proportions.....more than we could eat. The staff were friendly and bent over backwards to meet out dietary requirements. The wine list is extensive. This restaurant will become a regular.Hi Marquef59, Thank you for your review. We had an impromptu mid week lunch here this week. We were both feeling pretty hungry and had a rare couple of hours free in the middle of a very busy work week. On Church st surrounded by many other restaurants the atmosphere is totally different when we walked in. The decor is very nice with soft Lebanese music playing in the background, it felt very welcoming. We were immediately shown to a larger table (it being a relatively quite time) and immediately decided to try a variety of mixed entrees plus a main dish. The two waiters were both highly professional and the head waiter gave excellent advice on wine by the glass to suit the different dishes. The food itself was mouth watering. I have eaten Lebanese food before but none that tasted this good. For my lunch partner it was his first time and he truly fell in love with it. This is definitely a restaurant worth trying and we will definitely be back.

We first came here in March 2014 when it first opened, and I gave it a great review then. I was looking for a mother's day lunch venue and after reading the most recent reviews, I was a little worried about coming again. I shouldn't have, our table of 5 ordered the traditional banquet @ $38 each. Dips, breads, chips, lamb sambusik, cheese sambusik, kibbi, choice of salad, lamb, beef, chicken skewers, BBQ chicken, garlic sauce and pickles. Hope I didn't forget anything. We took some home we were so full. We couldn't fault anything, the meats were moist, not dry, vegs were fresh and the dips were delicious. No corkage for BYO beer and wine. Can get a bit noisy as you are open to the main road. Service was good, clean toilets, can access restaurant via back entrance on Terminus street, where there are a few car spaces on site, otherwise heaps of parking in the Castle Mall car park.

I'm guessing that most people would have no idea what authentic Afghan cuisine is....myself included! With Naan breads, kebabs and spices, mutton, beef and chicken...I assumed that regional influences from the middle east and the sub-continent played heavily in their cooking styles. One of the rice dishes was very similar to biryani, the kebabs reminiscent of Lebanese styles and the spice dishes could have come from anywhere in India or Pakistan. I have no idea about authenticity but the flavours and fragrances were pleasant.
