Tripadvisor sayesinde Manara restaurantı bulduk . Yöresel yemekleri, güzel bir mekanda tadarken, restaurantın içindeki turunç aÄacının mis gibi kokan çiçekleri ayrı bir hava katıyordu.
A perfect taste of civilizations table in a province. We ate wrap beyt from meat products. Beside them came the painful and painless salads of 4-5 different civilizations. I strongly recommend those who love to eat pepper. The hummus is also a must taste. The atmosphere is more desk-style. But the kind of flavor that takes you back to the same country and place. Enjoy it

I tried this place this afternon. It is located in Uzun Carsi - nice little bazaar-, great place to see even if you don't want to buy anything, you can just admire shops with local food and other items.I had Tepsi Kebap and it was very tasteful. In Vitamin the pan kebab is served with warm nice bread. Order a glass of âayranâ if you like this yaourt drink with this meal.I paid only 13 TL for a Tepsi Kebap and a glass of Ayran.General info : Also knows as 'Sini Kebabı'', Tepsi Kebap mean Pan Kebap and is a popular dish in Antakya region. Vitamin is actually a butcher and like many other butchers in Antakya' they prepare and serves also tepsi kebabi. In this region, typically, families send their meat in a pan to the bakery for cooking or they would ask the butcher to prepare the meat with the onions and spices and they would send the pan with the meat to the bakery to cook. .

Great food and good service but the a/c didn't work too good. Just to be fair, it was really hot outside.

At KONAK Antakya, unique local tastes come together with the fascinating atmosphere of Old Antioch Houses.
From the moment we arrived we were shown typical Turkish hospitality and fantastic food. The quality of the meal was fit for a king! The ambience was romantic, historical and classic in style. If youâre thinking of visiting then booking is a must. Well worth travelling for and would highly recommend.

We were in Antakya for 3 nights and our first evening was 14 February which made it difficult to find a table in most restaurants in town. Sveyka wasnât our first choice in Antakya but it was the only restaurant where we could reserve a table ( upstairs only). At the end, we were pleased with the food and the service. The location on one of the main streets ( Kurtulus Caddesi) was also convenient. There are two sections in this restaurant which was originally built as a house in 1945 by a Christian Arab family. It is more quiet upstairs if you prefer to talk. There is live and very loud music downstairs but the atmosphere is nicer and more exceptional. We liked the zahter and olive salad, Sam orugu as starters but not the Ali Nazik ( I prefer the Gaziantep version). As the main dish, the sour cherry kebab was something very special and delicious. The maklube, a local rice and meat dish wrapped inside fried eggplants was delicious as well. Pumpkin dessert with tahini was really very good. Prices were reasonable apart from the high price of drinks but that is a government policy. Staff was very polite and helpful. Toilets nice and clean.

Avlu name is courtyard in english. There are 2 seperate buildings and in between there is a courtyard. All the spaces are used as a part of restaurant. But it is not cramped or overloaded. All the personnel are well educated and polite. Although there are lots of local main dishes. Mostly you will be full after starters. If you are vegan you have tons of alternatives. If you like meat you have also. But to taste the local you should order the starters 1/2 portions so you can try all of it. My recommendations are Oruk (a kind of meat ball)Humus (buttered and pated chickpeas)Izgara Peynir (grilled cheese)Zeytin salatasi (olive salad)Zahter salatasi(a type of thyme salad)Ciger (liver)For the main dishCigerCektik kebabiLokum Are strongly recommendedAnd for the sweet Helva (halwa)Bon apatite. Ps. You can also try sifferen type of beverges.
