Went here with our small family while visiting Wisconsin Dells and ordered a few different things after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Everything came out in a timely manner and tasted delicious. The portions were filling and we canât complain about the prices. I especially loved the tacos! Our waitress, Marjorie was very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Funny how all the bad reviews are from FIBS! This is a great little place that doesn't fit the main stream appearance, but has great food. Service was great and we couldn't finish the portions. I don't understand what some people want, but if you want Mexican food this is the place.

We travel to the Dells frequently but this was our first visit to this restaurant. We were referred by "Locals". The food was good and service was prompt. They are still doing some remodeling of the building, so I believe that there are still some rough spots that could be addressed. The guacamole was good, but we would have liked some Jalepenos in it. The chips didn't appear to be the freshest. The chimichangas were very good, as were the rice and beans. My husband had the enchiladas which were also good. The sauces weren't as spicy as we are used to, but we never asked about anything spicier, so I don't consider that a fault of theirs. We will definitely try this place again as it has other Mexican places in the Dells beat. We may try for breakfast next time!

Every Mexican restaurant I see claims to be "authentic", this probably is. Probably, might be only because I don't quite know how you judge that given the variety of Mexican food. Their sauces including salsa are homemade. Unfortunately there's no menu on their website but a quick look at the photos above will give you an idea of the variety. Great seafood selections, lots of grilled meats and of course standbys like tacos. Not much of a wine selection, presumably beer is the preferred accompanyment. Casual decor and good service. Have been here in the past but never when crowded, don't know how they handle crowds.

The meals we had on our recent visit were a lot better than the ones we had on our previous visit (two years ago), the service was also better (more attentive), and it looks like the restaurant (especially the washrooms) hot some much-needed updating/remodeling. I'm not sure if this is because of new management or t he old management woke up, but either way after the improvements we've seen on our visit this week we'll definitely give Mexicali Rose another try on our next vacation up there.

The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The staff was helpful and ready to prepare and serve our meals. We had a party of 9 including children we were celebrating a birthday and the staff was amazing, They came out with guitar and large sombrero singing a mexican birthday song!! The food was delicious!Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your wonderful review for Jose's in the Dells, we really appreciate it. We're glad everyone enjoyed the Birthday celebration.
