Long time Tiajuana'er here: I remember the first restaurant opening in Orlando and have been coming to this location since its inception. Always good food. Never Been?-Its counter order, table delivered. -Not gourmet Mexican (who needs it?), but 1000% removed from taco bell, yet similar in price. Think $6 a person. -Food is always tasty, very consistent. -Hot sauce bar is loaded with choices and is self serve. -Taco Tuesday is the day to go for savings- Beer and wine onlyI you want to skip the waiter, grab a quick bite that fills you up, and have a beer. Go here. Hi. We're excited to hear that you have had an ongoing positive experience with us. Thanks for the review.

This is a very bland mexican food. Taco bell had more spice thatn their slasa. I dont typically like much spice or heat but this was seriously lacking flavor and spice, if your looking for authentic food this isnt your place. If you do not like spice and bland, then this is a good option for you.

Food excellent Atmosphere good Then why 2 stars ?1) Restaurant needs a better person to seat customers. Lady at register seemed disinterested . After she lead us to our table she just placed menus on table and walked away quickly without asking if this our first time here or the usual â so and so will be your server â. She went back to register and found it better to chat with co worker than her customers. Maybe she be a better table clearer ???2). SEATS ! The plastic/ wood chairs are extremely uncomfortable!!! Worse than a school cafeteria!!A family who was seated behind us eventually asked for a table in the main area where booths are.Another couple went to the bar !

We have been to Covina many times but when we went a few weeks ago and although the food was as good as ever we were a little disappointed. First of all, in the past they had a half portion of their quesadilla, now it is no longer an option. But the most upsetting thing is that they charged $2.00 for chips and salsa. I have NEVER been to a Mexican restaurant that charged for them.

El Potro offers good Mexican food at an affordable price. The restaurant is located in a strip mall in Winter Park. They look to do a lot of business with repeat customers, which is always a good sign that the food must be good. There was a lunch buffet as well as the ability to order off of the menu. The restaurant offered plenty of seating so it shouldn't be a problem getting a table even if it is busy.Since I have dietary restrictions I stuck to the menu and stayed away from the buffet. I ordered the Huevos con chorizo which also came with rice and beans. The sides were what you get at pretty much any Mexican restaurant, good but nothing that stood out. The main course was good and would order it again. They also brought out chips and salsa prior to the meal arriving. Again nothing stood out here that would differentiate them from any other similar restaurant. The service was good, but on the tad slow side. If you are looking for someplace to eat, I would recommend El Potro in Winter Park. I just wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

This is not your usual Taco joint The food here is unique and interesting and everything is ala carte. You order at the counter, pay, and wait for them to bring your order. The tacos are small but loaded and surprisingly filling. The corn off the cob is an unusual side dish and it has a bite but it's not too spicy. The guac is fresh and tasty. In fact, all the food looks very fresh like you made it in your own kitchen at home. Reasonably priced? I don't know. $3.75 for a small taco was on the high side IMHO, but then again this isn't Taco Bell. I had the brisket and chicken tacos and both were good. The inside is tiny and there's no indoor seating but there are several tables outside. Free parking on their lot. I would recommend it if you want to try a more authentic taco experience.
