Being in customer service and hospitality myself, I know things happen, but how you handle things makes all the difference. On this visit there were 3 other tables occupied in the restaurant. Once we were seated, we waited 5 minutes for our server to introduce herself and take the drink order. From there it was 15 minutes for 1 coffee and 2 hot chocolates, then another 10 minutes before the server came to take our order. 1 Oreo short stack panckes, 1 eggs and corned beef hash, 1 steakburger with eggs medium well. 25 minutes later the food arrives. An offer to refill out drinks was not made, just food dropped. The steakburger was cooked rare. 10 minutes till the server checked back, we asked to have the burger cooked more and was met with an eye-roll and sarcastic "okay." Up until this point we tolerated the medocrity by giving them a benefit of the doubt. 15 minutes later the server literally dropped the plate on the table and walked away. We grabbed the servers attention and sent the plate back again. I and my son finished our breakfast while my wife still had no food 90 minutes after sitting down.We got up and went to the cashier and she asked how everything was. I replied, admittedly snarky given the situation, "Do you want an honest answer or would you like me to lie and say everything was fine?" She glazed past it and just told us the total and collected payment. I asked to speak to a supervisor to which she replied that there was no one available.

I had never been to here before and was really craving Mexican food. I saw it on Google and gave it try. The chicken taqyitos are delicious, home made guacamole, chips and salsa and cheesy onion dip. Soooo yummy! The servers were courteous and fast. I will definitely go back!!

The staff at Ixtapa Hood River are always on point. You never have to ask for more chips and salsa, more water, another coke, or what ever it might be you need. This kind of service makes for an amazing family meal after a long day of work or play. The menu has something for everyone and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. As a local here we eat here about twice a month. I have been ordering something different every time I have come since 2013 and still have plenty of items to eat through.

We have eaten here twice and it was delicious both times. We had chicken enchiladas and fish tacos. Both dishes were excellently prepared and tasted great. We also ordered sides of avocado, grilled onions, and got plenty of sauce, chopped fresh onions and cilantro from the self-service bar to the right of the ordering window. The service can be a little slow, but it is worth the wait. It's best to drive in from heading east on 13th. It's a left turn into a back alley. Watch for the fat red arrow sign. Free parking is around a tight corner. It opens up as you go to the front of the building. When you leave, go on out onto 12th Street.Access is by a ramp or two steps, and there are no steps inside. It is small and tight, though. There is an outside patio, too.

Had a wonderful meal here, spinach and cheese enchiladas and a giant veggie burrito. The tomatillo sauce on the enchiladas was superb. The house margarita is enormous, and the price is right. The black beans were just the right amount of salty, just how I like them.Service was friendly and prompt, if I lived closer this would be a regular spot for my Mexican cravings.

Look for the little red door for the Best Burritos in The Gorge!
El Rinconcito in 'downtown' Bingen, Washington is a delicious, reliable and very economical locale for Mexican fare. It's a very small family run operation that gets packed during the noon hour with locals from nearby businesses. Breakfast burritos are delicious as well as lunch specials all week long. The baby burrito and individual tacos are the best values. My only wish is black beans to make it just a bit more healthy (then I would have rated it excellent!)

Took a team of about 23 youth skiers (most of them 14 and Under) and they CRUSHED IT. Hurry back because there might not be any food left.... Servers were attentive, friendly and patient with all of our kids. The food was excellent, too. Chiles Relleno highly recommended.

Went to this restaurant when the first option was closed for the day. Was not disappointed! Very reasonable prices and large portions which is rare considering the city. Ordered what was one of the more expensive menu items (Steak Ranchero) and it was an excellent meal. The staff is fantastic! Very attentive and they make sure you have what you need. Lots of choices on their menu, so it has something for everyone to include vegan and vegetarian options. There may better places in Hood River to get Mexican food, but I doubt there's a place that can match Crazy Pepper for service and menu selection.
