I went to lunch with my daughter - on a recommendation that the pupusas were especially fine. We were not disappointed. They come with several fillings, beans and cream - also ordered a cream chicken dish that was nothing special. The serving sizes were generous, service attentive, setting quite nice and larger than it looks from the outside. I plan to go here again.

We came here strictly by chance. They have a great lunch special--$20/person--for all the tapas you want! Including delicious flan and churros. We split 7--bacon covered dates, tomato bread with serrano ham and manchengo cheese, meat empanadas, fried calamari, carne assada, asperagus and spicy meatballs. All very good. Highly recommend. Garage parking nearby.

I'm pretty picky about tex-mex food, keep that in mind. Ordered the plate with cheese enchiladas, tamale and taco. Was good, not great. I prefer Mexican cheese over cheddar, honestly, they put too much cheese in the enchiladas. Tamale was small and almost no filling, taco was a plain old taco. Was pricey fro what you get, $20+ with a soda. Chips were fresh, salsa very mild. Had to ask for tortillas, which were good.
Where to eat Pub food in Wheaton: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We went to El Taco Loco on a Sunday afternoon. There were only one or two other customers. It is next door to a Peruvian chicken restaurant which was quite crowded. El Taco Loco is an inexpensive restaurant with little ambience. There isn't much on the outside that would draw you in. However the service at the counter is friendly and polite. We ordered tacos and the carne asada. The tacos were tasty, as good as those that I have had on my travels through Mexico. As for the carne asada, the meat was rather tough. But for $10.75 it wasn't unexpected. The rice was very good. If I were to return I would stick with the tacos. They are a sure bet.
Went twice in the last 10 days both times the same. I went back thinking the first time was just a bad day for them. The heat is def not on or available, even the employees were wearing jackets. This is ridiculous it's the middle of November. The whole place both times smelled like sewage water. Maybe they moped with old dirty water but it was disgusting. I didn't order the second time because of this smell. The first time the food was good but because of the smell and cold inside temp I will never go back. Its in a bad area also.
