A wonderful spot for a special family meal. We celebrated my husband's birthday and could not have had a better meal. Very welcoming and friendly staff. we have many favorite dishes including the chili rellenos, chimichangas, and their nachos. All of the desserts are great. The flan is so rich and creamy it melts in your mouth. Enjoy.

This is a small hole in the wall restaurant in the city of Wailuku. This is about 10 minutes from the Maui Airport. We had about an hour to waste and decided to drive around following the map from one of the magazines from the airport. we ended up at this place on the corner of N. market and Vineyard. This is a small kitchen with 2 windows where they sell food to go to locals but they have a couple of picnic tables under this beautiful Banyan tree. We were so hungry that we decided to take a chance. My husband was a little nervous because we were about to get in a plane for 5 hours and he really didn't want any belly trouble. This was the best food I had in a long time. The couple that run this place are from Oaxaca, Mexico. the food is delicious. I had the fish taco plate for $8.00. $8.00 ??? I couldn't believe it. I paid $22.00 for the same fish tacos at the Ritz Carlton in Maui right by the pool and those tacos had no flavor. This tacos were delicious and super cheap. My husband had the enchilada plate. He loved it!! we sat down under that cool shade of the Banyan tree and ate our food. I really had to write this because it was so good. If you like authentic Mexican food. the couple that own it were super nice. You have to stop by and try it.

Great fast, casual Mexican dining. Eat in or take out. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner to fill up on before taking the Road to Hana.

Serving size was great, food was typical Mexican menu choices but the flavor and quality of ingredients was exceptional. Parking was limited and seating was limited but most people took their order to go. The location feels a bit sketchy but it's safe. Looked like lots of locals eat here, always a good sign!

Locals need to patronize this stand. Michael, the owner is personable and believes in original, inspired fresh food creations. We stopped by for lunch. Ordered the Chicken Chalupa and the Special Plate lunch - Cajun Asian Spicy Shrimp. Both were served beautifully and tasted excellent. Six large shrimp served on skewers. All edible toppings, flavorful cocoanut rice, beans, small side salad Uses organic herbs and flowers grown locally. Get past the alley entrance and it's charmingly cool with colorful picnic tables. BYOB is allowed. Limited hours to lunch only Monday through Friday.10:30-3pm. Lunch for two including his just introduced Italian cream Soda (has 3 different fresh flavors) $26.

What a fabulous find and reviews are accurate. The menu is quite varied and appealing to most palates. Unfortunately we were not hungry enough for the substantial seafood soup that looked fabulous. The beef tongue special was delicate and so yummy. The plate had a generous portion of tasty meat. The shrimp and pork plates were also so delicious. Moderately priced and great friendly service. Some smaller tables inside and 3 picnic tables outside. Can't wait to go back.
