Dinner at La Palapa was a pleasure. We had a table on the beach which we enjoyed. The food is excellent. I had a spinach and jicama salad and seared tuna. My wife had coconut shrimp and a mango salad. The service was very attentive. Definetely worth a visit.

The Salazar family apparently has several restaurants throughout the central valley. I've been to this restaurant several times with friends and the food and service have always been very good. The margaritas are great too. This is a good spot to visit with family and friends.

Even though it's a little farther away from the convention center than some other mexican restaurants (Colima comes to mind), it's WORTH the extra walk. They have selections for literally any dietary need - low carb, "healthy" versions are particularly tasty. When there on a convention, I ALWAYS make the trek because the food is high quality, the service is quick, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Just try it!

I ordered the Bacon Double Burger Meal and it was really good, their fries are decent also. The sign that said 1 drink refill was gone so I hope it stays gone.
Was visiting my son and his family in Visalia and went to Azul with a party of eight. The service was superb and the food was fantastic. Wish I didn't have to travel across the country for this delicious food. Will go to Azul every time I visit Visalia.

I can not say I hate it but also can't love it, the food I had so far tasted good, hot and 60% Mexican, so not bad. I would really like if they had a better selection of beers, not all Mexican people have that poor selection of buds or coronas so it would be nice to have a good beer with Mexican food. Would I recommend this place? Sure why not? Would I come back? That's where I say 50/50! The service is great! Very attentive waitress all the time!
The food at Chapala is very good but our main complaint is the noise level. It is a large room that echo's very badly and when the restaurant gets 1/4 full or more the noise level is so high that you leave with a mild headache. Wish they could figure out a way to cut down on this. Otherwise the food and prices are good and we love how they bring chips, salsa and bean dip to your table before you order. Be careful because if you need a refill on any of these, you will be charged extra. Saturday evenings at 6 pm Happy Hour begins and they also have build your own taco on the patio for $ 1.50 each.

I live on the Texas Mexico Border so when it comes to Mexican food I am pretty well versed . Everything except the flour tortillas was spot on Mexican cuisine . We had carnitas , menudo , barbacoa , Carne Asados , margaritas and perfect draft XX beer . The beans were amazing and all the side dishes were perfect . The only flaw were the flour tortillas as previously mentioned . The service was very attentive and the place was very clean with some good music playing . We will be back .

The staff, though extremely busy, took the time to work a special order for our 3 year old daughter. It was greatly appreciated!Ordering is super simple via slips of paper filled out (I greatly prefer this method vice attempting to explain to a person). The quesadillas can be customized in many ways. I loved the location, but there is very limited seating and no public restroom. Everyone in our family enjoyed their selections. This place is going to become a regular!
