I am not very particular about Chipotle. This location wasn't stingy with fixins; however, I got the chicken bowl and the chicken was overdone...crispy enough on some edges that when I bit it, my teeth were bothered.

I peeked -- "Tu eres guapo" is written on the men's room mirror. This is absolutely my new favourite restaurant. No cash -- credit cards only. This is a counter service restaurant. You order and pay at the register and take a buzzer to your table. You will be notified when your order is ready. They serve on paper on metal trays. You bus your table when you're finished eating.I've heard a few complaints about the prices. I just returned from a trip where I basically spent two weeks eating my way across southern California. Invicto's prices are in line with what we were charged at every trendy concept Mexican restaurant. Also, keep in mind Invicto's "one feeds two" program -- a school meal is provided for a child living in poverty for every meal you purchase here. The decor is quite clever -- distressed white metal chairs and square enamel tables with Corona and Victoria beer and Coca Cola advertising on the tops. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, delicious and creative. Be aware -- the flour tortillas contain lard. One of the things I tried was not on the wall menu -- a Vampiro, with cheese, quac, salsa, onion, and cilantro. If it's available when you're there, do try it.I had the Mexican chocolate custard shake this visit and will be back to try the other three flavours. Each shake is served with a small chocolate-dipped and candy-sprinkled churro. Decadent. I found them big enough (and sweet enough) to share. The counter staff cheerfully gave me another cup and straw.I also want to try the horchata cold brew and the pies next time. They offer a horchata, Mexican key lime, and Oaxaca Honey pie.As you can tell, I really loved Invicto and hope to return soon.

Went with friends around 6:00 o'clock on a Sunday. My first visit.Place was not packed.after the fact, I read on line that they were closed at one point for Salmonella outbreak. Service was friendly but food was not great. Soup was luke warm, and meal was not very hot. many new Mexican restaurants in the area have better selection, quality and prices. .

I might have rated On Thor Border one star lower had I not visited Uncle Julio's first. The comparison was overwhelming. First of all, the outdoor patio beats out the festive U. j, by a wide margin. Then there are the drinks. Julio charges, at the least, three to four dollars more per drink. At happy hour a full pitcher of sangria goes for only $12 on the Border. Then, we compared the guacamole/queso appetizer. U. J. Gave us melted cheese whizz minus the Rotel and quacamole minus any spice. On the Border we enjoyed a thick queso loaded with goodies and a well blended quacamole. We purposely did not order the table presentation because we wanted to compare their stock offerings. Finally, the Border chili relleno beat out anything Uncle Julio's had sombrellos down. The great and personable service completes the rout. And, NO, WE ARE NOT CONNECTED IN ANY WAY TO EITHER EATERIES. We're just tired of settling for bad and expensive offerings just because someone is the new kid on the block. On the Border is our choice for many reasons.
