We went to a concert in downtown Toledo recently and found that most downtown restaurants had long waiting lines afterwards. Our friends suggested this place just out of town only a few minutes away. If you are not careful, you can easily miss the building. The parking lot was full of cars so it was pretty popular. When we went in we thought that we must have been in the wrong place. The front of the building is a grocery store, selling many ethnic favorites. We found the restaurant in the back. We only had a small waiting time until we sere seated. Most seating is in rolls of colorfully painted tables and chairs. We were lucky enough to get a table along one of the side walls which gave us a little more privacy to carry on a healthy conversation. The menu is loaded with all of your favorite Mexican dishes, burritos, enchiladas, chimichanga and more. You can get your choice as an entree or as a meal. Most of us at our table chose the enchiladas which came with your choice of cheese, beef or chicken along with a side of rice and beans. They were served hot and were delicious, not too spicy, but very flavorful. Try this out of the way place and you won't be disappointed. They do serve a mean Margarita and have a very tasty Sangria.

Ohio's only Fresh & Organic Mexican Restaurant. We have the largest menu for Gluten Free, Vegetarian & Vegan meals. Founded in 1968 by Ezekiel & Consuelo Villa.
The best Mexican food by FAR in Toledo! All homemade FRESH ingredients. NO liquid cheese here! Real melted cheese. The only issue I would have is the prices have become way over what we can afford. $14 for a shredded beef chimi is overpriced even if it is excellent. If they got a liquor license, they would have 100 times more business even though we don't drink. I worked in a Mexican restaurant for many years and I could certainly manage this restaurant better.

Mexican-Cuban Fusion
Stopped by on a road trip South. This place did not disappoint. Excellent service. Our waitress was knowledgeable and offered her favs. Moderately priced too. The whole restaurant was spotless. Clean bathrooms, tables, floors. We would make a afternoon trip from Detroit to visit again. Book marked as a new favorite. Visit the shops next door too. Highly recommended stop.

Friendly service. Super fast as well. Ordered lunch fajitas. Food was tasty and priced reasonably. Salsa a little spicy but that's how I like it.

This time when we visited the restaurant the food was not as good. Perhaps the chef was just having a bad day or maybe the previous time we visited, the food was unusually good. The service was fine. However, vegetarians beware! Neither the rice nor beans are vegetarian. That leaves little for you to eat.
