We were in town visiting so this was our first time here. We ordered chips and guacamole. We really enjoyed it and the chips had some seasoning on them which we really liked. We were happy with the different guacamole selections. I then tried to order a beer. The waitress came back to say they didnât have it. So I chose another. The waitress then came back to tell me they didnât have that either. So I picked a third and got the same story, but based on the beers I was choosing the bartender just gave me a beer free of charge that she thought I would like since they were out of what I was choosing off the menu. I did like the beer that I was given tho, so no complaints there. Just strange how short the beer supply was. We also ordered the Nashville hot chicken taco and the Great Lakes beer battered walleye taco. The Nashville chicken taco seemed surprisingly bland. We also got the Cubano and we liked it. So overall the restaurant seems hit or miss. I would still give it another try tho. Service was also a bit slow but our waitress was as accommodating as she could be.
FIRST THINGS FIRST: Please do not confuse this chain-style Mexican restaurant (in suburban Cuyahoga Falls) with very fine, independent Azteca on E. Market Street in Akron itself! This restaurant was Mariachi Loco's (great carnitas with cilantro, 15 years ago), then Maria's (never ate under that ownership), and now Azteca---a name probably allowed because the 2 restaurants are in 2 corporations---but don't be fooled! *7:30 p.m. on a Tuesday---the restaurant was not crowded, but it took me 3 tries to get a table that wasn't near a noisy table for 8 or the noisy bar. The menu looked standard enough, but a tad-bit expensive: the enchiladas rancheras were $3 more than I had seen elsewhere. I took a make-your-own combo plate: cheese enchilada, tamal (two items plus rice and beans) for $9. The same combo is $6.75 elsewhere. I asked for a Coke when the waiter came with the chips and salsa (both average). I didn't get my Coke until I asked again when my meal came. Three ladies sat behind me; one of them asked for no beans, but she got beans anyway. Even so, the Mexican (as opposed to student) waiter was very nice! The rice and beans were bland but good. The enchilada and tamal were covered with a super-salty brown sauce that masked the flavor of the items themselves. I think that the enchilada was OK, but the tamal was under-steamed: instead of being firm, the masa was still like a squishy dough. It all tasted familiar from several months ago, but at the LA TERRAZZA restaurant in Brimfield last October, and then I looked UPWARD and LISTENED! The super-salty sauce was just like the stuff that was on a burrito in Brimfield! And sure enough, the decor was the same, too: walls painted like adobe or brick up to ca. 10 feet, and then the other 10 feet up to and including the ceiling in dark brown. And even the SOUND was the same as La Terrazza: 2 or 3 competing songs in different styles creating a chaos of dissonance! And sensory overload! YOU might like it, but there's one more that WE won't have to try again.

This place was crowded at 3pm on a Saturday... for good reason. Service was fast and efficient. They refilled salsa and drinks without being asked to do so. The salsa was very fresh and flavorful and the hot salsa did NOT disappoint. Beans were flavorful and not soupy in texture at all. They made my off-menu Chiles toreados no problem, and they were HOT! And delicious... I ate them all. My husbandâs carne Asada tacos were wonderful. Authentic served with very fresh pico. We absolutely loved it and would return.

Food was good as usual but they no longer take coupons. I hate to complain over a $5 coupon but I like to save when I can and since we spent almost $50 and left a $10 tip it surprised me when they refused it at the register. We wonât be dining here anymore based on the attitude of the cashier

It seems to me that almost all Mexican restaurants serve the exact same menu and the food tastes about the same no matter where you good. And that goes for La Terraza's, only it's just a little better than the rest. The salsa is tasty but runny and the food is a slice above the run of the mill restaurants. I had a Mexican steak smothered in peppers and onions that was very tasty, but tough and with a lot of grizzle. My wife had one of their many chicken dishes and she raved about it. But all in all, I give it good marks. The service was fast and courteous. It's worth a stop.

You already know the scoop. The meat is 75% sawdust, and likely includes some variety of varmint flesh. You're nuts to eat there, even out of desperation. I don't care how good it tastes when your drunk -- it's drive-through botulism!

Food is pretty good. The cart with fresh guacamole is a nice touch. My food was hot, portions on the average size, prices are high. Would I go back, maybe if I am over that way. Might try the other place across from Delanie's first.

Large seating area in a clean restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and very responsive to refills and checking on us. The fresh tableside guacamole is excellent and I highly recommend it. The food is good and portion sizes are large. I have found the burritos to be the best. This is a good stop for mexican.

Ripoff alert! This place charges different prices than on the menu!!Check your bills! Adler I pointed it out, lady had to call the owner to see what to do about it. Duh! After time standing there, she just hands me $1.00 back without refunding the tax they charged me. DO NOT GO TO THIS DISHONEST PLACE!
