Second time visiting for lunch and this time they have an $11 menu that got you three tacos and a salad. The tacos aren't huge but this was a pretty good deal. The salad had an excellent lime/cilantro dressing, and the tacos were all tasty. We shared churros for dessert and they were amazing.

Have been many, many times. Everything tasty, fast to the table, and high quality. Love the Papas taco on weekends --- sauteed potatoes, quacamole and peppers --- simple and delicious. Carnitas are browned just the right amount and nicely spicy. Shrimp tacos perfectly prepared. Guacamole a bit pricy -- smooth variety, very good. Chicken torta always good. Not crazy about their rice, but it's fine as side with black beans. Generally, can't go wrong here.

The thing is, the menu is kinda generic, and the place somewhat kitschy. But, there is heart here to be found, but only after a couple of visits. Once they start recognizing you, they actually *remember* you - and you start getting your drinks the way you like them. Same with the food - the items on the menu may not be always available, but the difference between "sorry, not today", and "wellll, we don't have that, but we could do for you" is, well, huge! The bottom line - it's a place that bears repeated visiting...(Oh, sit at the bar, btw)
