My husband and I decided to use a coupon for bogo 1/2 off. I'm from Texas originally, and love Mexican food. This is the absolute worst we've ever had. On the plus side, the lunch special of choose 2 main items, rice & beans for $5.25 is cheap, and the tea, which was literally the best part of our dining experience (sad to say!) was only $1.45. I chose to have a chicken enchilada and chile relleno. I never knew a chicken enchilada could taste watery, but mine did. The chile relleno was hard to cut, even with a knife, and was more like a large rubbery spinach/seaweed, with a glob of what seemed to be a weird cheese substitute. Like my husband commented, the refried beans had a scorched taste to them. Who messes up refried beans? They did! Probably the best part of the meal, besides the ice tea, was the rice, but it wasn't noticeable...fluffy, but no flavor whatsoever. Sorry, but we won't be dining at the Rio Grande again. We both commented when we were on the way home, that the lack of customers when we arrived during the noon hour should've told us something, as well as the signs advertising "new food" and "new menu". Maria's Cantina and Swanky's Taco Shop are more pricey, but the food is 10 times...make that 100 times better. For something along the same price, El Patron on Stateline is much, much better, too.

We ate here Sunday evening and there was a good crowd but not full. Our waiter was good, order taken quickly, and chips and drinks arrived soon. We both ordered Nachos Supremos Everything was good and the food was there quickly exactly like we ordered. We will eat there again.
Friendly staff, lots of menu choices at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the meal in a fun, family friendly atmosphere. Nothing fancy; good basic mexican style meals.

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
This was not the typical Mexican place like we have at home. Prices were similar, but the selection of entrees was a bit different. The ambiance was much above average. I got the sampler platter, which had enough to fill my growling stomach, but not enough to feed two - a GOOD thing. Wife was not rea happy with her Chimmichanga. It was different from back home (contained veggies - which she likes) and was a bit under cooked (fried). All in all, it was a good meal.

Early wk nite dinner, so not crowded. Immediately greeted by friendly people, and seated. Smiling young woman explained drink specials, took order and returned quickly with drinks...1 small 1 large margarita. Tasty. Menu is extensive. She answered our questions thoroughly . Ordered guacamole mexicana, special burritos, pepper pablano, reg burrito, rice and beans. The guacamole was very fresh, avacodo was chunked, not mashed, and the small order was more than enough for the 2 of us, although I could have "pigged out" on it. Everything else was excellent, too. Needed take home boxes, which we ate the next day for lunch and even re-heated was still very good. WITH ALL THE MEXICAN RESTAURANTS, I RECOMMEND CHOOSING EL CHARRO.

Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill offers burritos, tacos, nachos, salads, y mas as well as our addictive chips with your choice of salsa, guacamole, or queso. Itâs all made fresh daily!
We enjoy the made to order style of this restaurant. We can pick and choose based in our individual preference for each dish. All the ingredients are fresh. Servings are plentiful so you may want to share if you are watching portion control. Otherwise, enjoy leftovers. They do serve limited alcohol. But, it is very family oriented and kid friendly.

This is our "go-to" Mexican restaurant to eat at anytime we are in town visiting family from Texas. No, it's not "Tex-Mex" but its seriously yummy! I always order the Tacos Al Carbon Chicken and lots and lots of cheese dip. Seriously recommend, though all the "locals" already know its good.

We ate Sunday night and it was busy but not full and we were seated quickly. The service was good and chips, salsa, and drink orders were taken care of. I got carne asada and the wife got fajitas nachos. The food was brought in good time and everything was good. We will eat there again.

We ate there Wednesday evening and there was a good crowd but no wait. We were seated quickly but no chips and salsa, the only Mexican restaurant in this area that charges for this. The also do not have the Special dinners like all the rest have like carne asada. They do have a good selection of bottle and draft beers. We ordered steak fajitas and chicken nachos and the food came in reasonable time. Everything was average at best, sort of bland with no seasoning. The waitress Madison was friendly and did an excellent job. We probably won't be back.
