When we think Chevys Fresh Mex, we go to our happy place; fun-lovinâ guests, fajitas & margaritas, and the freshest food, always from scratch. Founded in 1986 in Alameda, California, Chevys is an ultra-casual restaurant concept that offers guests an array
chevy's parent company went through bankruptcy a few months ago so the restaurants are changing. I've eaten here many times so kind of know what they have. Had the 5 item combo (substituting enchilada for the tamale). Prices are a little higher than last year, food is about the same. They started charging the "health tax" as have other restaurants in bay area. At least it is only 3 % but I still think I shouldn't be paying this in this manner. But this seems to be a trend now.

Cheap n cheerful looking place.More cafe than restaurant, but genuine Mexican food.Girls behind the counter have English as a a far distant second language but I had a laugh in there.Probably the thing about it is that local Hispanics eat there too.So you know its got to be good.Good quality at a good price.Eat in or take away.
Wow. What a surprise. Didn't know what to expect, being that this place has no rating. But pretty darned good. We had the cheese quesadilla (great), veggie burrito (very good), beef tacos (great), chorizo tacos (delicious) and one beef tongue taco (possibly the best of the (bunch).

SF is justly famous for its restaurants but these days so many are very expensive and impossible to get a table in, especially for the traveler with only a few days in town.Rancho Las Trancas is a smaller, family oriented place with generous portions, fresh ingredients, and great prices. It's in South San Francisco, but if you're coming to or from the airport you'll leave happy and satisfied.Only potential downside is that there's no separation between the bar and the dining room, so if a big game is on it can get loud and boisterous with cheering.

We were at the Comfort Inn and came over for lunch. Great Flavors and definitely not the commercial TexMex that I really can't stand. It's in a quiet neighborhood and the staff was really helpful and friendly as we made our lunch selections. There is seating upstairs and a few tables downstairs near the main entrance. Our selections ranged from burritos, chili rellenos, grilled chicken plate. If you are in South San Francisco and want to get away from all the tourists near the Warf area, go check them out.

There is nothing less than describing this place in one word: delicious!!!! Don't let any of the decor not neighborhood detract you from experiencing excellent, authentic food; fabulous margaritas; and top notch service with a smile. Wonderful place, can wait to go back!!

Not much to say. It is a restaurant that serves different kinds of tacos and burritos, and all other Mexican food. Not my favorite cuisine so obviously I am not delighted. However, food is cheap, fresh and tasty. I believe they prepare it according to authentic Mexican recipe instructions. It seems a lot of locals eat there (it is always a good sign). If you like Mexican food, you won't be disappointed. I was not at all.

We were looking for street tacos. You know like at the Taco Tren in the fields. This was not it. Yes, it was OK and the portions are generous. The service is really good. Just not what we were hoping for

Real Mexican eatery and store with all Mexican products you can imagine. Crowded, dark, with lack of interior design, looks like unfriendly space. But who cares? The food is awesome and authentic, portions are huge and cheap. I don't need nothing more. My Torta de Milanesa with breaded steak was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. Mandatory place for Mexican food enthusiasts.
