Well Yelpers, another over praised restaurant. The good - they can not be faulted on portion size, or the price. Also the service was satisfactory. Where's the taste? Why soupy beans? Why a strange salsa [with corn?]? Why tasteless chips that seem store bought, but the server said "they were made here this morning."

Don't expect a sit down service type meal but if you are looking for the best authentic tacos (and other Mexican) than this is your place. Get in line and place your order. Don't forget to order one or even two beers so you don't have to get in line again. Go enjoy the incredible salsa bar while you wait for your food to be delivered to your table. The Mahi taco and the shrimp taco are a must!

A friend recommended Super Mex to us having lived in Long Beach and being a huge fan of Mexican food - we were not disappointed.Service was quick and often, the chips and salsa were so good - we had to tell them to stop bringing us more or we would keep eating them! Portions were quite large and so filling.Overall the drinks and food and service were all great and we would definitely go back!

We met friends there and had a ball. The atmosphere lends itself to have a fun time. The happy hour pricing on drinks was exceptional. Glad we got there before 6. Our server Maggie, was an absolute delight and added to our enjoyment of the evening. My wife had the Shrimp Lime Salad and liked it a lot. I ordered the Carna Asada Burrito and was disappointed. The burrito was bland and the refried beans were gray and pretty tasteless. But with that written we will go back for another happy hour.

Just visting Long Beach overnight, a friend found this cute little place near our Air B&B. My husband tried the Beerito to quench his thirst and he's been ranting about it ever since. Not being too much of Mexican cuisine experts, we relied on our friend to suggest a few items. I tried the evening special of a choice of two Tomales, my husband had Chicken Chiquiles with a side of Black Beans, and my friend had Pork Carnitas. All of them were so delicious. I couldn't believe the amount of pork my friend had on his plate! My husband was so impressed by the "Beerito" beer he had..thirst quenching and a definite compliment to the meal.

What a treat! We were coming off the ferry from Catalina and asked the parking attendant for a great Mexican restaurant. She sent us here and I wish I could go back and kiss her for the recommendation! The Waze app brought us right here. We were quickly seated. Chips and salsa had a spicy sweet kick to it. I got the lunch special Taco Dorados y Enchilada. It was a crunchy beef taco and chicken enchilada with green sauce. The crispy taco looked home cooked and the soft taco was so soft and buttery. Beans and rice accompanied and drinks were included. Everyoneâs meal came out but mine. We think they just forgot it. Luckily we didnât have to wait long before it arrived. The meal was wonderful. Restroom was single person only. It was clean.
