Mi Pueblito is a very popular Mexican restaurant in Shelby and is always busy. On this visit, we had the queso cheese dip with chips to start with. Then, I ordered a combo plate of an enchilada, a burrito, rice and beans ($7.50). I asked to add chicken which added I think $1 more. The combo plate has more than enough food. In fact, I took half of it home to have for dinner. It's a great place to get good Mexican food in Shelby.

We were excited to found out our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant (Don Ramon - Forest City) had another location in Shelby, which is closer to us. So when we found ourselves in Shelby, we stopped for dinner - food and service was fine. However this location (1) doesn't have a salsa bar and (2) is much more cramp and congested than the FC location. While we have driven to Forest City just to eat at Don Ramons, I don't think we will make a trip back to this location. However, will recommend it if you are in Shelby wanting Mexican food.

Weâve recently been on a quest to find the best Mexican restaurant in Shelby. Refer to my other reviews. For service, quality, and value El Acapulco is the best. A friendly, festive atmosphere with attentive service. A very colorful layout with tables and booths. Limited seating at the bar in the rear. Tasty and spicy salsa (non-spicy also available) and warm chips were brought to our table. Our server also provided suggestions. There are daily specials. We chose the Raul Special and from the menu tostada. Both were served hot and fresh. There is a wide array of drinks from ice tea and soft drinks to varied premium beer and bar drinks including daily specials. Not a very large restaurant. It can fill up quickly and seating for groups is limited. El Acapulco is highly recommended!

We came here on a Saturday night. It was packed, so we knew it was probably good. The menu is huge, and there were even vegan options. Everything was well flavored and the pina coladas were awesome!

My wife and I have never been big fans of Mexican food although we do eat it occasionally but mostly at a locally-owned restaurant. Recently Taco Bell moved its location in Shelby and we have been in several times since. Usually we wait until our son is home as he is very familiar with their menu but we strike out on our own from time to time. The service is very good and the food it quickly prepared and tasty. We like to eat it for a change, and do not go there frequently but when we have been we have found it very good and not expensive. We do recommend it.
