If you are going through Santa Rosalia, on route nr. 1, stop on this nice and clean restaurant for a quick bite! We had chicken quesadilla, vey good, then a meat dish that was also good, but the best part was the machaca de pescado. It's a dish made with grilled fish, all shredded and mixed in with bell pepper, onion and tomato. They serve it with Mexican rice and salad. Amazing, very well combined, tasty and fresh! The bathroom is amazingly clean, they have air condition, and free WI Fi!!! Nice view of the black beach, both from inside, or from the outside terrace. Very cheap too....Stop, it's on the main highway nr. 1, across from a Pemex station, and try this place!
This restaurant is one block from the famous Eiffel church displayed at the 1889 Paris World's Expedition for which it won first prize. The restaurant has seating for probably 40 or so under a solid patio roof. No English spoken, but its easy to figure it out. We were there about breakfast time and the chef had already stared his carnitas for the day and put 14 chickens on the roaster. Parking is usually available on the side street so you can eat, and walk to the church.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the "difference" will no longer be available at the "Estrella del Mar", located at km 107 Transpeninsular Highway Loreto/Mulege', B.C.S. Mexico. Early December 2013, we were served a document, demanding we vacate t

Dropped in around noon after a walk through the town. Friendly people on sidewalks and in shops. Very clean town. Started with a few Coors Lights. Imagine that with all the great Mexican beers but it was the only light beer they had. Had an excellent, simple guacamole and very good chips. I had camarones empanizadas - very good. Others had pollo frito which was very good and enchiladas rojas that were said to only be good. Very comfortable patio with good people watching. We had our dog with us who was very welcome and even provided with a dish of fresh agua. Good service. I recommend it.
Great little place for breakfast. Lunch & dinner served as well. The chef is the owner & studied at a culinary institute in Tijuana & worked for Cabana; a great mariscos restaurant. We had the enchiladas with green sauce & the quesadilla with rajas. Both were spectacular. Everything was made to order, the presentation beautiful & great flavor. Even our orange juice was made by hand. In a small town like this, when we are just passing by, it's hard to tell. 100% recommended!

We read about Terco's in a cruising book and we were walking and hungry so it was an easy choice. I don't remember what we ordered but we were not impressed. I felt that the local looking customers got much better service than we did too.Now I hear that it's the Roasted Chicken one is supposed to order, so I'm definitely going to give the place another go. It's convenient and well kept.
