This is a decent restaurant, with very good interiors and very good service. But the quality of the service and taste does not match the Price. This is a bit expensive restaurant, may good if someone is paying for you :)Hi Rajan, we always work to provide a quiality service, we hope you come back soon to improve your experience with us :)

Más de 40 Años de Tradición Culinaria en el Centro Histórico de SLP. Disfrute platillos tÃpicos de la región, buffete y comida corrida todos los dÃas.
This Restaurant. I have visited. Many times. Although food has improved. It sends to have no flexibility. An what you order. Do not have a meal that includes eggs & meat. So if you want it is double charge. If order coffe. Cream limited to 2 creams. Only. Same with tè. Only served once if want more. Just water. Is charged as another tè. Restaurant has no flexibility. Does not deviate from the menú They serve you bread and there is a charge per pc. Dear guest, thank you very much for sharing your comments. We have taken notice of everything you mention to improve the experience of each diner. Have a nice day.

This was a good introduction to local cuisine and it had come highly recommended by friends but getting help from our server in understanding the offerings was difficult at best.

Visited last month for late lunch. The place is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly. We ordered a bottle of Baron Balche, probably one of the best Mexican wines we've tried so far. The waiter brought us artisan bread, butter and saucesWe wanted to start with something we had not tried before, so we ordered "escamoles" a real treat and an amazing Mexican delicacy. Do not miss this dish, you will not regret it!We then had the tuna tartar, so buttery and rich... As third course we had the baby octopus "chicharrones" nicely served in a molcajete with guacamole. The baby octopus were breaded and fried, too much for such a delicate product. It would have probably be a better dish if baby octupuses were grilled to achive the chicharron texture, instead of breaded, but that is just my opinion. We still wanted to try something else and since the pizza oven was right behind us, we ordered a pizza margarita. Simple, good and made before our eyes. We had no space for dessert, it will be next time...

Downtown San Luis Potosi; a lovely terrace with one of the most unique views in town.
The Oruga y la Cebada may not look promising at first glance, but it is more than worthwhile to go beyond what appears to be merely a bar on street level and proceed to one of the two levels beyond. There you will find a friendly space with a staff and kitchen ready to provide you with a very fine dinner. Among the many choices, my wife and I had two beef choices, arrachera and Cecina, both of which were excellent. The total bill, including a glass of good wine and a bottle of water, came to around 25.00.Well located alongside the church of San Francisco, close to the center, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It deserves its high TripAdvisor rating.

Gourmet Mexican style restaurant. Beautiful architecture, great ambiance, and overall a high-end cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised to pay a low price (including wine) for what I thought was one of the best meals in the city. Simply put, you must visit Cielo Tinto if you are in SLP. Make reservations; it tends to get crowded. I don't know if it is every night, but so far every time I've had dinner, there is always live music playing.

Cesar salad made at the table; steaks cooked in wine at the table and desserts at the table. Old World. The waiter/chef told us what he was doing along the way and the result was marvelous. Very relaxing dinner and I understand why it is a favorite in San Luis. I would go back

I had the worse experience at this place, building, decor are authentic, and nice. The food on the menu sound amazing, but it doesnât taste good, and their small portions. We had to wait over an hour and half to get our food. We ordered six different dishes plus appetizers. and one of the dishes was undercooked my daughter got sick to her stomach after tasting it. Price would be great if the food was better but it isnât. I complained with the manager, and her only explanation was that it was the waitressâ fault.Dear Aurea:We are really sorry for what happened, we know that you had to wait for more than one hour to get into the restaurant; weâd really love to have more and more tables available for everyone, but sadly we donât and we have to wait for someone else to leave so we can start serving people on the waiting list.We understand why you are so upset and we would sincerely like for you to give us another chance, please, call us so we can book you a table and that way we wonât keep you waiting again, we would love to have you back so we can change your perception

The best wine cellar in the center of Mexico, published in Wine Spectator for 5 years among the best restaurants in the world.Steak , Mexican an International food.Excellent service. English spoken, and our menu is available in 5 languajes. One of the bes
A grand closure to our short trip to San Luis. Los Tonoles was chosen for its ambience as well as it's food., There were seven of us and all had great meals and shared in a sublime dessert. From Filet Mignon to Tomahawk steak that would have choked a horse, but I was told, was simply delicious. My only real hang-up with steak in Mexico is that the restaurateurs do not let their beef age enough and then, even the finest cut of beef is tough and does not cut like butter, which a well aged beef cut will give you. Too bad, since this restaurant has everything else. Great waiters, great setting, unbelievable entrees but tough steaks

The best option for the rest of the people who travel on our roads, through a first level infrastructure covering their expectations in franchises and restaurants.
If you are driving from the Mexican-US border to Mexico City and beyond (via Laredo, Monterrey, Matehuala, San Luis Pototsi) plan a rest stop at Parador El Potosino on Route 57. The rest stop provides free and clean restrooms, an internet cafe, and gift shop. Skip the Papa Johns Pizza and Church´s Chicken and enjoy Mexican comfort food at Restuarante Potosino. Cafeteria style, but very enjoyable chicken mole, barbecoa, caldo de res...all freshly prepared and served by a very friendly staff. Outdoor seating available to watch fellow road warriors come and go. Buen Viaje!Thank you for your comment, at the Parador El Potosino we are always improving the service for you and your family come back soon, thanks for taking the time of an opinion, greetings and good trip.
