Things to do in San Carlos
We ordered the typical full chicken with potatoes, onions and jalapeños and it was awesome. A ton of food for about $7! The leftovers have been great warmed up with an egg in a tortilla for breakfast. A definite must, but beware I don't know if there is a place to eat the food there. Worth a visit and be ready for leftovers.
We went there to enjoy the fresh seafood with another family. The food was fantastic and the service was also excellent. Our friends couple ordered everything because they were very familiar with all dishes on their menu. So I can not exactly recommend which dish to be ordered. But for sure any server there will be good to help choosing depends on what you like. I loved their crab legs and fresh scallops. Just remembering those, I am already drooling.

Sea food
We ate supper here two nights. Food is good and service is excellent. Right by the ocean. Great view of the sunset.

Tacos and more! Also, try the grilled chicken that comes with beans and tortillas. Wonderful! I had a chili relleno taco that was delicious. They offer a salsa bar to complete your tacos. Full bar as well and live music sometimes. On a side note, they sell Cuban cigars.

In the heart of San Carlos, on the Main strip, you can find Colibri. This restaurant is located right behind the middle OXXO. For those of you that stay here for weeks and months at a time, you will love the cuisine. I enjoyed a goat cheese and beet salad and a brick-oven pizza. Hubby had grilled shrimp over risotto and the house specialty salad. Our friends raved about their filet mignon. Great service and a nice change from the usual Mexican menu.

This restaurant came recommended firstly for their milkshakes, and secondly for a fantastic breakfast. We had breakfast there and all five of us were quite happy with our food. I'd like to mention at this point that this is the type of restaurant where you order your food at the front counter, and pay for it right away. They bring it out to you when it is ready. The booths were a little small for five people, so I pulled up one of their red plastic chairs and added it to the end of the table.I suppose if it was a traditional restaurant where there was more service, I would have given this place four stars, instead of three. I will not hesitate to go back before the end of this vacation and try one of their milkshakes.

This restaurant is nothing fancy, and I would have missed it if not for friends familiar with the good food. There is nothing outstanding inside, except the food. Everything is fresh, so dietary accommodations can be made, including vegetarian and vegan options. The restaurant is family friendly, has a full bar, as well as attentive and friendly service.

If you donât know this place you wouldnât drive thru the dirt road and an ugly fishermen village to reach Rositas Restaurant. Great view. Simple restaurant with plastic tables and chairs. But authentic. Large choice of seafood. I do recommend the Sarandeado, a big fish prepared in a wooden brick oven. Very tasty. Reservation recommended on weekends to avoid long waiting line.

Last year this restaurant was our top pick. This year - not so much.Don't get me wrong. The staff is a delight and the music is great. But the prime rib was undercooked.A second visit found us ordering hamburgers. This time my burger was overcooked.Third time - well the fettucine was delicious. And a fourth visit for Sunday breakfast was very nice.So it was a mixed bag for us. We'll keep trying because we like the staff and atmosphere.

The original beach bar in San Carlos. Fresh seafood, great paninis, cold beer, margaritas and live music. A family tradition.
This bar is steps away from the Sea of San Carlos. Music, great food, & friendly people. This bar is typical Mexicanbar. Not upscale. Tables sit on the sand for customers to enjoy delicious Mexican food & drinks with a beautiful view. Sailboats float gently beyond in the sea. No big waves so it's easy to swim, but too cold in February.
