Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Robstown. Robstown is a city in Nueces County, Texas, United States, and a western suburb of Corpus Christi. It was founded about 1906, and was named for Robert Driscoll. The population was 11,487 as of the 2010 census.
Attended a function the other evening that was catered by Sylvias. The bbq brisket and sausage was very good. They also had sides of rice, beans and potato salad all of which were good and portions were plenty!!!
What is not to love about getting those home made flour tortillas conveniently through a drive thru? The same delicious flour tortillas that you get from the Taqueria Guadalajara are now available for purchase from your car. I think they only accept cash but dig out the couple of dollars and get you a dozen of the home made goodness. You can save a little bit of money if you get the misshaped ones. They also have home made corn tortillas.

A great meal! Wonderful service and the food? To die for! Check out the front board at the doorway. For $5.99 each, we had two chili relleno plates. Muy delicious!
We dined at the La Playa Azul the day after Thanksgiving and had the Avocado that was stuffed with fajita beef and then deep fried. Oh my goodness- this was heaven on a plate! Our service was top notch and we very much enjoyed our meal. Thank you!
The service was great. The food was adequate. The heartburn aftereffects is long lasting for many hours beyond the meal. Go at your own risk. Hopefully your experience will be better.
This is located right off the highway midway between Corpus and Austin. The service is cheerful and prompt. The portions are huge! Most importantly the food is delicious and well spiced. My husband enjoyed the pork burrito and it was such an immense portion for 2 additional meals. I enjoyed the beef taco. The chips and salsa are great. We also had the $1.99 happy hour margaritas. I would highly recommend.
Their slogan is Best Tastin' Tacos in Town and they don't exaggerate. Stop in for a great breakfast taco; you won't be disappointed.Mostly take out although they do have a few tables and bench type seating. Everything is made after you order. None of that mass cooked stuff that sits under a heat lamp waiting to be stirred and served. Excellent homemade flour tortillas.Tacos are a little on the small side but are priced for the size. Just get 2 if you are really hungry.
I am thrilled to leave the first review for this hidden jem! Fantastic food and to die for tortillas, homemade of course! Be advised this is a breakfast and lunch only place and tiny. They maybe have 8 or 9 tables total. If you are in the area and need a lunch place, do not pass this up. You will not regret it.

The closest thing to authentic Mexican food I have had anywhere in south Texas. Stop eating mediocre TexMex and try the real thing! The assortment of great salsas is one clue. And the beauty is that it is right off the Interstate 77/69 for an excellent meal during the miles of Texas highways. Robstown has few gems but this is one.
