Very unassuming outward appearance. Our server was attentive to our hungry party of eight. Chips and salsa were great to snack on before our meals arrived. Some of the best carnitas and homemade (only on weekends) corn tortillas I have ever tasted. Fantastic food. I wish I lived closer. They were super family friendly and great with my little ones (2 kids under 3)

I always order breakfast or Mexican & it's always great! Machaca was awesome! Pancakes are something we order every time, even if it's just one to share! Servers are always friendly & it's a very comfortable place. Chips & salsa are very yummy, too!

They have recently moved to this location, they still have reasonably priced meals, new expanded menu and clean well appointed dining area. I don't know if they are done with the decor or not, it is pretty sparse. The dining area is cramped, elbow to elbow when they are busy. It is hard to ignore conversations going on next to you with nothing between the tables to block the noise. We have had fine service in the past, but this morning we must have got a waiter in training. Jonathon will need to pick up the pace to be slow. He seemed to be over whelmed.

Olivia's Mexican Restaurant is a must visit in Riverside, California. Olivia's is a popular spot for creative Mexican fare including shrimp burritos plus classic desserts such as flan.
This Mexican restaurant off Magnolia was a bit of a disappointment. It was quite busy on a Thursday evening. But service was very slow and the wait staff seemed to have an attitude. When asking is the salsa provided was spicy I was told that our waiter didn't know and to "just taste it"... The menu is pretty typical with tacos, burritos, and combo plates. But they have a few uniquer items like aguachiles. But, the flavors weren't all that authentic. And the food overall is just lackluster. The albóndigas came with only one meatball and the texture and flavor of it was very off putting. The tacos were okay but needed some seasoning. I don't actually have any recommendations this review since I was not pleased with this place.

Our friends with their two kids invited us to this restaurant which is a family-owned restaurant. The menu is extensive. We had carne asada wet burrito, chile verde plate, lobster enchilada, jalapeno shrimp enchilada, cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Very authentic. A nice change from the local Mexican chain restaurants. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

American fare from steaks to seafood, plus Mexican favorites, served in a relaxed space with a bar.
This restaurant seemed like a fairly standard sit-down joint, but despite being stuck in the corner of a retail center and somewhat out of sight, it was packed on a Thursday night. The decor is eclectic, but highlights the local community with sports clippings and photos, air base photos, and local historic buildings. Add some Old West flair and I feel like this place actually cares about being here. Nice. The food is good, reasonably priced, and comes with a huge selection of sides to choose from. We went with the fries (a massive serving) and mashed sweet potatoes. Lastly, what made me give this five stars is the great staff. Everyone was attentive, friendly and remarkably efficient.Added bonus: I left my iPad behind and went to see a movie across the lot. I come back at closing and itâs waiting for me and has my receipt taped to the front so they could track me down if I didnât return. Good folks.

We were there on busy Father's Day and it was a bit chaotic at the time we arrived due to the number of people there. There didn't appear to be a hostess station so we weren't sure how we would be seated. Eventually a kind staff person sat us at a very nice table by a window. After we ordered, it took a while for our food to arrive. When it did come, we were very happy with it. I ordered the seafood enchilada and it was huge. It was filled with lots of shrimp, mild fish, and vegetables. The sauce was to die for. It had sliced avocados on top. I really enjoyed it. The meal came with rice and beans. For around $14.00, it was a steal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I am glad that we were seated in the front of the restaurant facing University Avenue. That section of the restaurant is bright with natural light and has a nice ambiance. The other section can get a bit noisy.Diners should be aware that only beer and wine are sold at Habanero. So, if you're looking for an icy Margarita, the only kind of Margarita you'll get is a wine Margarita. They do have a nice variety of beer available -- including craft beer.

Located in the pedestrian mall area near the Mission Inn, this small restaurant offers very good food at a reasonable price. The tamales are especially good.

Annual Ancho's Birthday celebration for my brother. Our waitress Brianna suggested a slight variation to a menu item and it was great! The new manager, Vera, was very present, out getting to know the regulars. This is a 30-yr neighborhood restaurant with consistently great Tex-Mex food at family affordable prices. The salsa has a kick to it; the guacamole is fresh and chunky; the bar area makes any wait time enjoyable and the menu is varied enough to please our picky family!
