We have a home in San Felipe and it has become a tradition to stop at Pete's for a large dinner and a few yummy Margarita Especials You will most likely find Juan behind the bar mixing up some great drinks, that are very generous in size and has plenty of booze. As a benefit there is a wonderful view of the Sea of Cortez, and if you have an RV or Tent you can camp on the beach.Enjoy

We had lunch here and enjoyed it very much. The typical guacamole/salsa/tortilla chips was followed by some wonderful fish dishes. Some were fried, others grilled and included butterfish, shrimps, huge luscious prawns and calamari. Too much, of course, so we decided to give dessert a miss. Lovely staff and lovely views over the malecon. Highly recommended.
Beachside restaurant near a cenote. The seafood platter includes shrimp, lobster, fresh local fish, 3 cheese shrimp and fish combo, salad, and rice. Perhaps more but that's what I remember. They also cooked the fish we caught - pan fried and deep fried one of them. They even served a Christmas Eve dinner. Bring a flashlight for the bathroom if you are there in the evening. Truly, do not miss this place!! The stars at night are magnificent. Reminds me of the Boundary Waters in MN.
Restaurant Bar with mexican-yucatecan food and seafood cuisine
Great service with friendly owner and waitress. We ordered for munch (at 4pm !) two ceviches and a fried octopus and got four extra plates of apetizers. They included octopus ceviche, fries meat, cucumbers and fish ceviche !The dishes were huge and tasted awesome. It was the best lunch experience in rio lagartos

Main street that runs beside the water
We were a large group of 12 and we stopped here and placed our order before we hit the tours. The menu is simple but colorful. The plates are all pictures and displayed on the wall. That way, ordering is simple, quick and easy even if you do not speak Spanish, you can point. They also provide a nice area to change your clothes and a shower for your tour. I was happy with my food and the price was very reasonable. The place has very ornate decors. Staff is family and they are very friendly.

fish and seafood restaurant with a combination of aromas and species with styles of Yucatan, Veracruz and oaxaca. menu from 11am to 7pm fried fish, breaded or grilled. lobster with butter or garlic sauce. Cebiche of: fish, octopus, lobster, shrimp. Shrimp
Emmanuel invited us to his restraunt and the food was AWESOME. We were there for lunch. My party had fish, shrimp, and my personal favorite octopus. The octopus was cooked properly and NOT chewy. We returned later that evening for dinner and the food was still cooked as it should be. Not to mention how FRESH the food was. I highly recommend this restraunt. It is truly a diamond in the ruff. A small place with enormous taste. A must to visit. Emmanuel also does tour guides through the river. Explaining the different birds and plants through out the mangroves. He speaks both English and Spanish. At the end of our tour he took us to spend time on a beach. Other guides were also there but Emmanuel was the only one with music. My family and I were truly thankful for the tour and the food. We will be back.....
