Things to do in Ridgeland
After having a bad experience at another restaurant in Ridgeland I decided to try this restaurant on the same night. The service was excellent, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was very relaxed. The serving sizes were very large, so that we could not eat all that came with the order. If I am ever in Ridgeland again I would go back to this restaurant.

Kind of a dive- but chips and salsa is always good...and the frozen margaritas are EXCELLENT. Not overly sweet and a nice amount of tequila. :) If you ever dont want mexican, but your friends do...their burger is very delicious...

We tried 6 different kinds of tacos and they were all delicious. They were generous with the amount of meat/ filling in each taco unlike some similar restaurants. I especially enjoyed their salsa/pico and chips. Service was good but it was a Sunday night and they weren't very busy. I will definitely be back soon.

We have visited this place many times and actually used to prefer it over many others in the area. However, yesterday we went in (family of four) and we all had some sort of shrimp dish. The shrimp looked old and dried out and very small. I tasted a few and worried I would get sick so I stopped. My husband felt the same and commented that it was the worst meal heâs had at a Mexican restaurant. The chips, guacamole, and cheese dip were fine. Our service was slow for drink refills but the poor guy looked like he was extremely busy. My husband got the shrimp diablo and the sauce was not even warm. Iâm not sure if it was frozen and then thawed out or what. I tasted it and it was horrible.

Small family owned and operated restaurant that offers authentc Mexican food that you will not find in most Mexican restaurants in the area. Large portions at resonable prices. Small restaurant that does a huge take out business. Needs to be listed.
This is another of a plethora of Mexican restaurants around us. It has moved from the above location to one that is more convenient, on County line Road, next to the Mazda dealership and the Beagle Bagle.Looking at a couple of reviews, maybe it has changed some. I had not been to the old location in years since moving away from that part of town.People were friendly and the food was about what I expect when I go to a Mexican place around here. Was disappointed that they didn't have shrimp fajitas.

First time visit to this restaurant and I am very pleased. Friendly staff and the food is outstanding. One of my favorite meals is simple street tacos and a cold bottled coke. Tried a marinated pork, a steak and a shrimp taco in corn tortillas with side of creamy refried beans topped off with Mexican cheese. Delicious! Got a piece of tres leches to go. Everything is made fresh to order. Good prices. Highly recommend.

I was skeptical to try Mexican food in Mississippi but it was surprisingly good. The Mexican food I typically eat is not from the same region as the food at sombras but it was good nonetheless . I had the black bean and goat cheese tamale which was wrapped in a banana leaf. The guacamole was good as well. Hello, Thank you for the review! We love to hear that your recent visit to Sombra was noteworthy. It sounds like you made excellent menu choices- the The Black- Bean and Goat Cheese Tamale is always a winning option. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience; we hope to see you back again soon! Panna VargaSombra
