Within easy walking distance of Minnehaha Falls, Lake Nokomis, and the 46th st LRT station, Dominguez Family Restaurant is a wonderful local favorite. Good food, great service, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Dominguez has been our go to Mexican place for many years.

Went here on recommendation of a friend-- it didn't disappoint. Almost-stereotypical decor, but we found food and service were solid. Spouse had an enchilada plate and I had the octopus ceviche (one of the "stretch" dishes you might not expect for a typical Mexican-American place). Wasn't wowed by my dish, but it did pass muster. Had a regional microbrew on tap, and spouse took advantage of the happy-hour wine special.Service was fine, though we were there fairly early on a weeknight. Place did get to be half-full by the time we left (6:30ish).Good enough that we'll return.

Excellent but limited menu. We had flautas as an appetizer, a beet salad (wonderful) and carne asada as the main - good portions, nice presentation and wonderful seasonings. The beer and wine selections were a bit limited, but offered something for everyone. Our server, Juan, was attentive and pleasant.

When we think Chevys Fresh Mex, we go to our happy place; fun-lovinâ guests, fajitas & margaritas, and the freshest food, always from scratch. Founded in 1986 in Alameda, California, Chevys is an ultra-casual restaurant concept that offers guests an array
My burger was great! The Chimi was awesome and the kids frahitas were excellent. The chips were some of the best I've ever had. The queso was THE BEST I have ever had. The flavors in everything were great. Our server was prompt quick and pleasant. The environment felt like it could use a pick me up. In the Ladies bathroom the stool seat was kitty wompus and needed replacement and had stains on it. Really? The Toilet paper was thin and placed down low on the wall so you had to bend over to find it and fight so it did not land on the floor. The kids meals were mostly 7.99 which seemed a bit high. Most of the adult means were at an average of $16.99 which also seemed a bit high. To be fair they did have a few selections that were $12.99, but none of them were anything I wanted to eat.

Great foods and even better designer cocktails. Watch the fun from the bar and see a show! They have great bartenders who give you samples of drinks when you need help deciding. They have lovely Mexican Pulques, not something you find here in the Twin Cities. The food is simple enough but nicely done. Same Chef/owner as Martina and both are rated highly. They allow walk-ins to the bar (full menu) but is first come, first serve at the bar with no wait list but you can also you reserve a table on-line but allow a minimum of two weeks for a reasonable dinner time.

This is a modern, authentic Mxican tucked inside the Mall of America. The salsas were outstanding, fresh and bursting with flavors and heat. The guacamole was made tableside and could be customized. The enchiladas were just outstanding with poblano sauce. Make sure you order from the separate menu for normal people so you cna be sure there are no dead / killed animals lurking in your dish. The margaritas were good.
