Afrodite is really one of the places to be whenever you are in placencia! Amazing tastey food - super uncomplicated and just along the walking sideway! We have been there 4times now and it was always TOP! nice service, all kind of cocktails and soooo jammmy delicous food! Go and check it out!

This is a great place run by really nice local woman. The fresh juices were excellent (please ask for no straw) and the sabutes etc were tasty as can be. Donât waste money on the gringo joints - this place is the real thing and reasonable priced.

Several miles out of Placencia village, this is not worth the trip. The Mexican food was poor to just lousy, the service is extremely slow both for the bar and the food, and because it's located on a calm lagoon we were eaten alive while we ate. Don't bother.
