Very nice place to try out mexican food. The food is very authentic and with good spices. Owner is very nice and explained all the details about some unique menu items which we didn't see at other mexican places. I will surely recommend there chicken burrito and tacos. Quantity is good and surely will be visiting it again.

My friend and I have lunch often and usually it is Mexican food. We were pleasantly surprised by the food in this small restaurant tucked in the corner of a strip mall. The dining room is bright and the decor colorful with Mexican art on the wall and a display of Mexican dolls on a high shelf. Order at the counter from the menu on the wall. Your order is brought to your table. We both had the garlic shrimp served with beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, avocado slices and your choice of warm flour or corn tortillas. There were plenty of nicely seasoned shrimp. You can help yourself to chips and a variety of salas at the counter. Bottled beer is available but the selection is limited. There is ample parking but get there early because the restaurant filled quickly at lunch.

This place is really fun. Food is excellent. My favorite is the chile rellinos. Their tacos and shrimp rancheros are great as well. The butcher shop and grocery store have really good prices and beautiful meats. Check out the ceviche...yum. This place is inexpensive but delicious.

I've eaten at this restaurant quite a number of times. It also has a location in Orangevale, This restaurant is the real deal, waiter/waitresses speak Spanish, the overhead music is Spanish (not rock'n roll, Rolling Stones, Beatles, etc.), they have Negra Modelo on tap! The prices are very reasonable. Everything we've ever ordered was very good. My favorite plate is the Chile Verde (plate, not burrito) and you can order it to the level of 'chile hot' that you'd like; mild, medium, hot. I eat jalapenos, and chile salsa on & with just about everything - even sandwiches; I'm not afraid of hot chile. So I once ordered the Chile Verde at the 'hot' level, thinking, "c'mon, at a restaurant, how hot could it be? The public can only handle so much." Well, like I said, I ONCE ordered it at level 3 'hot'. They should change the levels to: "Mild, Hot, Nuclear"! Consider yourself warned - especially all you 'tuff guys' out there. 'Medium' is just right chile hot (IMHO). The servings are large, so you won't leave here hungry, the waite staff are not 'overly friendly', just friendly and attentive to you (even if you don't speak Spanish - which I do). If you're in the area of Sunrise Mall and want a good Mexican restaurant to go to, give this one a go. You won't be disappointed in any way.

The advantage this place offers me is walking distance from home. The staff has always been polite and on point. The food is good. The place is clean. Never had a long wait and the food always fresh. Lots of selection on the menu, but I usually stick with my favorites.

If you love authentic Mexican food in a homely, comfortable atmosphere, Lupita's is the place! My friend and I had lunch here and ever bite was delicious. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and the portions are perfect. I had the chili rellano. The breading was very good, the cheese was creamy and the pepper tender. The refried beans and rice were nicely seasoned . All were served hot from the kitchen. My friend had the enchilada, also quite delicious. Chips and salsa are complimentary, unlike some chain Mexican restaurants. Gracias, Lupita.

El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant is family owned and operated for over 32 years. All of our family recipes are made from scratch, and we have no cans in the kitchen. We would like to invite all friends and family to come and enjoy our Authentic Mexican Cuisi
First off, my wife and I have have been to their Famous Brunch on SUNDAYS several times now. It remains one of my favorite places to dine. My wife and I are FOREVER FOODIES and I mentioned this restaurant to our friends, who are Hispanic and love Latino food. They decided to drive a hundred miles away and have lunch with us, at El Tapatio. In my opinion, this restaurant is truly Excellent for service and we have not ordered anything less than excellent in cuisine. Our friends are Hispanic, this is their cuisine; their culture. They each ordered different dishes and my wife and I ordered chili Colorado and Chili Verda. Our guests the ordered the frieheta sampler and some other dish I could not provide. It was delicious though. They asked many questions in Spanish and provided their orders to the waitress in Spanish. IT was a great time, all were having pleasant memories, wonderful day. Service was excellent food was exceptional for the cost.

Family run business that serves very good food. Try an order of their flour chips (you have to buy the flour chips; corn chips are free). I had the taco and enchilada combo, chicken for both. Both were very good. I like their crunchy taco shells. Nice people own the business, work here. You can't go wrong heading to La Placita for Mexican food!
