Mexican Cuisines
The staff couldn't have been more friendly. The food was outstanding. I had a chili relleno burrito. It was two chilies rellenos wrapped in a thin flour tortilla...delicious. My wife had a birria taquito and a tostada. With my refried beans, our bill was $11. Oh, the chips and salsa were fresh and exquisite.

This restaurant has recently been re-opened. the interior is nice a lot of natural light coming in now. A great selection on the menu, we were a group of 5 and each had something different and we all thought our meal was great.

A locally owned and operated business in Nogales, Arizona serving fine Mexican food.
Stopped for lunch last Saturday .... nothing unique about the dining area except the wobbly chairs .... round generic corn chips a little stale .... watery salsa .... and not very flavorful meals .... in fact, the red sauce was on the watery side too .... Service was Ok .... not unfriendly ... just Ok.I think there are many better choices in the area for a meal.
We've been going to La Bocanita in Rio Rico for several years & didn't know this place was here, located inside an old rather depressing motel in Nogales just down from the Safeway store. The menu is the same, tho this venue is roomier with booth options (obviously, this once was the motel cafe). The menu is in Spanish with sparse English translations. Definitely not a fancy or elegant place to eat, but comfortable & relatively clean. The prices seem high to us, but portions are decent. The food is good, the seafood fresh. I like the shrimp tacos, others prefer the marlin (I find it fishy-tasting). The shrimp soup is also good, tho it would benefit from some ingredients other than shrimp & broth. One friend is crazy about the bacon-wrapped shrimp, & we've seen others eating cooked, whole fish. The chips are boring & to my knowledge they don't serve alcohol (unlike the Rio Rico place).

We always enjoy eating at this restaurant when in Nogales, and also enjoy the take-out options! The soup of the day varies--always good--but especially the albondigas soup on Mondays is great! The daily special (Comida Corrida) is always good--we enjoyed the tacos with rice, beans, and soup of the day, for only $5.99! The frijoles are especially good, and the fresh handmade flour tortillas are great--so be sure to take some home with you! We will be back!

Living overseas in Europe you can't find anything like this.. real Sonoran cooking...The carne seca plate served here is one of those things I whistfully dream about when I'm jonesing for Mexican food.. Served with their decadent beans and some of the best flour tortillas around( both made with lard , which why they are so sinfully delicious) this is a meal that will leave you deeply satisfied with life... I order their grilled jalapeños and a bottle of Bohemia beer to top it off.. Finest kind....
We visit Los Jardines fairly often for the friendly service, simple cooking, and clean ambiance. Seating can be tight but they a lunch counter & can do take a way containers.Try the horchata, cinnamon infused rice flour based beverage over ice- very refreshing. The rice & beans are my favorite but many Mexican items to try, including an Ample supply of giacamole for a great price value. Lunch for 2 under $20.00.

Atmosphere is like a neighborhood cafe, nothing fancy. However very good food, great service and good prices. Also offer beer and cocktails. I tried shrimp with green sauce and was very pleasantly surprised. Good place to return to.

This place is a gem. As my title indicates, the food was delicious, the people working were very friendly, and the prices could not be beat! I loved my fish tacos. The shrimp soup had the most amazing broth. The price of the soup may seem higher than the other items on the menu, but when you see how much shrimp is in your bowl you will not be disappointed!
