Great Mexican food a short walk from our motel. Nice atmosphere and a very friendly, attentive staff. A large menu with something for everyone. I had the veggie fajitas and was not disappointed. Really good!

This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants! Most of the ingredients are all fresh and made from scratch. The tacos (all types) are my favorite, no match out there! Nacho's and burrito's are tasty!!I saw an earlier comparison to Chipotle...that's an unfair comparison, price wise. Chipotle is a chain and this is one single restaurant who does not get cheaper ingredients because of volume. The food business is one that makes a lot of money...the prices are fair. If you taste something and it seems bland, ask for something to spice it up. I love their food and have NEVER been disappointed!!

The Indian restaurant around the corner was closed on Tuesdays, so we walked over to the main street downtown (Mt. Shasta Blvd) and accidently found Lalo's. We are not enthusiastic for "beans and rice" American-style Mexican food, but we were hungry. Weather outside on the patio was perfect. We had chicken fajitas--very large portion and almost enough for two--very good. Also had a vegetarian tostada--NOT typical fried tofu, but sweet red peppers, broccoli, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and more; extremely tasty even for non-vegetarians, and very large portion. Could not be more pleased.

We stopped by around dusk. The floors were dirty. We had one person ahead of us. Ordering seemed somewhat slow. It seemed to take a little longer to get the food than I would have guessed. The bathroom was definitely in need of cleaning. How long do they let the toilets go between cleanings?
