Things to do in Mount Pleasant
This restaurant recently opened. It used to be a BBQ place that closed before we could visit. We stopped for lunch today (8/4/18). Yummy. Our waitress (who also seated us) is a treasure! She was so friendly and efficient. Kept checking on us and we were served our food fast. It was good and hot! I had a special pork nachos and my husband had a Speedy Gonzalez lunch special. The cheese on the nachos was delicious! We will be back for sure. They don't serve alcohol, but they have several lunch specials. Prices were reasonable cheap to medium. Can't wait to try it for dinner. Restaurant was very clean. They bring a basket of chips with a carafe of salsa and little bowls for each person. Great idea!

This location is MUCH BETTER than the old Taco Bell that was right next door. The new store seems to be making better food as well. The old Taco Bell used to have hard rice and would ALWAYS put tomatoes on your food (even when you asked for them to be removed). This new location seems to make hot food and get the food right. They did have an AWFUL time with their Fruitista machine last year (it was constantly freezing up (no pun intended) and would not work, but this seems to have been fixed as well.

The quality of food seemed decent, but you don't get what you paid for. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria, and makes it a little ackward waiting for your food in line. Don't get me wrong, there food is good, but a few adjustments could be made.
This was our first time stopping by this place. The locals said that the Super Soft Burrito was the best item on the menu so we ordered it. The prices were reasonable, the service was average and the burrito was rather bland (even with sauce). Just a notch above a fast food Mexican restaurant but not the best and not worthy of a repeat since I have had a much better lunch experience in the past.

Dont let the strip mall location worry you. This is a fine, family-run, authentic Mexian restaurant with fresh food and wonderful dishes. Nice selection of beers and very attentive staff. All of the Mt. Pleasant locals love this place for lunch1

We were a party of ten that met here recently for a celebratory birthday lunch. We did not make a reservation, but the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. This was my first visit to this restaurant, but others in our party had been before. The location is a bit hidden in a strip mall, but it is fairly easy to find. The interior is nothing special, it is a pretty standard strip mall interior. It is a bit worn and could use some updating and cleaning. The staff immediately prepared a table for our party and we had to wait no more that a few minutes to be seated. Our waitress, Mercedes, was very friendly, helpful, and she had a good sense of humor. She is what made an otherwise average lunch special! The chips and salsa were good and never empty. Drinks were promptly refilled. The food was good, but nothing above and beyond a typical Mexican restaurant. We lingered for a while to talk and catch up, but were never made to feel rushed or that we had to leave. The food was average, but overall it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend the restaurant if you are in the mood for Mexican food with good service.
