As a Mexican company founded on the beaches of the Yucatan, the Tacombi food philosophy is a reflection of a long and rich cultural heritage. We believe we have a responsibility to our guests and our employees to preserve and share Mexicoâs culinary tradi
The servers are great, and the location in the heart of Montauk town right by the traffic circle is amazing! I absolutely loved the location, but the place itself is really worn and dumpy. The washrooms are literally scandalous... completely unacceptable in an upper class location like the far East Hamptons. I know that it's supposed to be "authentic Mexican beach" decor but it just comes out as a worn out, dingy, unpleasant place. While we are on the subject of unpleasant, I had the misfortune of sitting at the table next to the owner and/or manager of the place while he was interviewing a prospective employee. He was borderline-abusive, dismissive, and rude to the interviewee to the point that if it had been me, I would have just walked out, and maybe tossed the table over on the way to the door. The REALLY bad part is the portions. You cannot believe that you are paying reasonable prices at any other Mexican place on Long Island to get TAPAS sized portions! There's small and there's small but these portions are ABSURD. In order to get a somewhat normal meal, you would have to spend well upwards of $50 and order like a dozen plates! Sure, the quality is good, but with this CRAZY price/quantity ratio I have to write this place off as a tourist trap only.

Second time here and really like it. Tucked away in a marina. Small place where you order at the counter. Nice bar. Great burritos. Love the casual setting.

The restaurant sits on a corner with a row of long bright blue tables and benches against the rounded glass front. When the weather is nice the outside under tree shade is definitely the place to sit as the inside just looks like a canteen. For us, the bright colored patio furniture was what attracted our attention when looking for a place to have lunch. It is a full service restaurant but the way you order is marking the dishes on a disposable menu and hand it to the server (like when you order sushi in Japanese restaurants). I liked the fact that you could order single tacos as I wasn't too hungry and prefeerred the small portions, but the cost could add up if you wanted a substantial meal. We had the corn esquites, avocado tostada, Plancha fish, and huevos Mexicana, all were quite tasty. They also had fresh squeezed pineapple juice which was nice. Altogether 4 items plus two soft drinks cost us $28 before tip and it was a perfect light lunch. Given the nice environment and quality of food I thought the price was fairly reasonable (the one fish taco being the most expensive in our order was $5.49). Service was fine. I was happy with this place and will return for sure next time I visit Montauk

Been driving by many times and finally made a stop. Burrito was good but not great and the menu board is not very clear on pricing so my burrito ending up costing more than I anticipated. Service was fast but not too interested in answering questions.
