This is a favorite dining spot in Bettendorf for a quick, inexpensive dinner. So we thought we'd try the Moline location for lunch. We ordered 3 Chicken Tacos with beans and rice and a lunch sized order of Chicken Fajitas. As expected the food arrived quickly and we enjoyed it with a couple of Corona Light Beers. The selections were well prepared, tasty and the portions appropriate for lunch. The restaurant wasn't very busy on this particular day and while the waitress was efficient she wasn't friendly. We were glad to know the same good quality food is served on both sides of the River! We will continue to give our business to the Iowa venue since it's close to home.

Best Mexican food in the quad cities!!!!
Being from the Southwest, I have a hard time finding good Mexican food outside of Arizona/New Mexico and Maria's didn't make the cut. Food was "ok" but didn't seem really seasoned. I had the chicken enchiladas as shown below and asked if they had red or green chile to add on and that wasn't really an option. Guess they haven't been to New Mexico lately. What they were able to provide was some green tomatillo salsa that the owner made up which was tasty. The regular salsa had some "kick" to it which surprised me for the Quad Cities. Service was "ok" and we had to ask for utensils. Decor definitely needed a facelift. Some of the other patrons sitting behind us were talking and did not know what cilantro was. Hmm, guess they don't get around much. Overall, I wouldn't take the time to stop here unless you were in the neighborhood craving some Mexican food.

In my opinion, this restaurant embodies the QC area food scene. People always tell me the QC restaurant scene stinks. This is simply not true. You just have to try a little harder to find good food. This place is a gem. From the authentic music playing (rather than your typical theme park Mexican music) to the food, this place is great. I highly recommend the salsa roja tacos with cilantro and onion. Super tender pork in a flavorful red sauce on proper corn tortillas. The servers are fast and friendly. It is a great little place to have lunch.
The guacamole here is to die for! You get tons of food so if you're a light eater, better share with someone else. The food was very good. The service is good. Margaritas are huge!

The last time we visited Los Agaves we sat on their nice enclosed patio. The food and service were very good. Their Chile Relleno is my favorite in the QCs. The bad part is that some of the kitchen staff had their really loud motorcycles in the parking lot and were racing and reving the engines. It was so, so loud and unpleasant. I hope the management reads this or has already done something about the staffs after work disruptions to their business and customers.
Very good Mexican food! We were told that, and not disapponted. It's quite small insde for seating, and we were lucky it was not busy for dine-in. Seems they were doing a huge carryOut business that day! We sat down, gal came out and asked if our first time there, we said yes, she let us know we go to counter to order, very pleasantly.

It's a converted gas station with spartan eating area but the food is good, the people are nice and helpful and it's inexpensive. It has a fairly wide menu and a tv for if you pop in alone and want something to watch

I used to go here regularly for lunch and occasionally for dinner. The food is mid/high priced but is served quickly (normally) and decent value. I usually order fajitas with corn tortillas as a gluten free option but there are quite a few other choices that work well if you make sure of your tortillas. The salsa and guacamole can be hit or miss (I'm not sure if they make it or change vendors) but when it is good it is very, very good. The wait staff for lunch usually is more on the ball than the evening staff and they usually have specials that can make for a good pricing. I don't go as often as I am not in that area as much any more but try it out when I am.

first visit to this Mexican restaurant. Everyone was friendly and had good service. Salsa in bottle (w/ chips) was too thin. I've had their regular salsa before though and it was much better (diced tomatoes in it). Liked their enchiladas a lot. Will definitely go back. Good prices.

So I may be a little bias. My mother loved Adolphs and ordered it often which has led to me to do the same. However I guess that means it has a delicious consistent flavor if I am still eating there after 34 years. Both locations are delicious and consistent. Itâs the flavor of the taco meat that keeps me going back. Never had anything similar. Staff is always kind and the food never disappoints. I recommend just an order of tacos or the enchiladas. You wonât go wrong either way.
