Reviews on Mexican food in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is perhaps best known for its famous breweries and the Major League Brewers, but there's more to the city than beer and baseball. Milwaukee is rich in historical and cultural attractions, making it the perfect place for a weekend of exploring. Check out the newly expanded Milwaukee Art Museum or the Mitchell Park Horticultural Society, which hosts an annual show of the same flora and fauna seen in Georgia O'Keefe's paintings. Those interested in the city's history can visit the grand Pabst Mansion, former home of one of the city's famous beer barons, or the Milwaukee Public Museum, to see what life was like in Old Milwaukee. If the kids are along, don't miss the Milwaukee County Zoo or the Betty Brinn Children's Museum. Of course a trip to the "Genuine American City" would not be complete without a tour of the Miller Brewing Company and a Brewers game at Miller Park.

Recently stopped here for dinner based on a recommendation from a friend. The restaurant is located on 6th and National in Milwaukee, not the best area of the city but fine during the daytime/early evening. Plenty of street parking is available on National Ave. and the surrounding streets, however I didn't notice that the restaurant had a parking lot (I could be wrong). The restaurant is on the smaller side but has a very intimate and welcoming character to it. Nice selection of traditional Mexican food (love the fajitas!) and would definitely recommend their guacamole (yes, it really is that good). Great and friendly service and an all-around great spot to satisfy a craving for Mexican food!

I was at this restaurant a year ago and gave it a better review then. They had a roasted veggie & kale taco then that was very good, but this time it was not on the menu. It was replaced with a cauliflower taco that was terrible. The soy choriso taco was also terrible (way too salty and I'm a salt lover). In my review a year ago I said: "I do not understand why a restaurant with such an extensive menu can't also have vegan burritos, fajitas, tostatas, salads or other main dishes. I would suggest that management consider some vegan sour cream and adding a few additional vegan mains. " Nothing has changed. Still too few vegan options. I did not enjoy my meal, BUT the complimenary chips and dipping sauces WERE VERY GOOD. The view of the river on the patio was relaxing. I would love to go back for the atmosphere and location, but the marginal vegan food is a deal breaker.

Locally sourced Mexican dining in the heart of Riverwest. We support local farmers through Braise RSA, and offer a selection of vegan-friendly and gluten-free dishes.
Umm what to say... this is someoneâs healthy version of all of your favorite Mexican dishes... really I found the food to be bland. They missed the mark on everything we ordered, 4 separate dishes plus 1 appetizer. I would give it another shot because of all the reviews that Iâve read however it would have to be on someone elseâs dime. I feel like maybe they had an off day. I enjoyed the location and the look/decor/style. The drinks were okay. But really would not be on my list of to go based on the one and only visit.
