Papa Gallos has a perfect location right on the beach. Friendly staff, nice decor and good drinks. A perfect place to watch the sunset

I can't imagine slower service. The first trip here the food was quite good but we waited 45 minutes after twice asking for our check. We went a few days later and the portions of molcajete we're drastically smaller. We ordered two portions to share amongst four people which was plenty the first night. The second trip the portions were drastically smaller. We also ran out of tortillas twice and finally gave up asking and finished without tortillas. I felt the service and inconsistency are not worth the higher prices charged here. Much better food, service and prices can be found in Barra.

We visited Roosters because we read in a review that if you asked they adapted dishes for vegetarians but were a bit disappointed. The only choice was the Sopa Atzteca and we were not offered any alternative by the not-too friendly waitress. That said, the soup was very nice, but the only thing on the menu we could eat.

Ate here once during our week in Melaque. The food was good, not outstanding but solid. The location is nice and the service was pretty good as well. Not sure I would rank this as the best restaurant we ate at in Melaque but it was pretty good.

We had a group of eight for a Sunday evening when there was live music. Very pleasant open-air setting, with the pool and the plants all around and appropriate lighting. The live music was reasonably entertaining, with a good guitarist doing a variety of standards and a vocalist performing adequate schmaltzy stuff. There's an open salad bar (a bit of nostalgia for those who remember open salad bars) with a good selection of items, including a pretty nice potato salad. The salad bar's a good idea, because the entrees took a looong time to arrive. The first reason for this is a small kitchen which can't keep up with a packed house. The place was also understaffed for the number of patrons this particular night, so the servers as well as the cooks were basically running off their feet. When the food arrived, it was very good. Everyone at our table was very happy with their meal (the ribs were a particular hit). For us, it was a positive experience. We'd be happy to return, but on a night with live music, I'd be prepared for delays.

Esmeralda very personable. Not busy for breakfast. It was okay, but not super. Noticed that there were "regulars" at this venue. Involved in community with "Open Mike" opportunities and other benefits.

Come experience patio dining at our restaurant overlooking our outdoor palm garden with fire pit while being surrounded by works of art under a starry sky. The menu changes daily as we post it weekly on our website. We also offer a Tequila Lounge featurin
All I can say is that previous reviews are right on. This is a unique experience in Barra de Navidad, serving up excelllent food, charming service, an informative and extensive tequila experience, and the all-important marshmallow toasting.I should underscore that the food here is consistently good, something that is unusual in this area. Most other restaurants might offer good fare on a given night, but it's hit and miss most of the time. Barra Galeria is one of three where you can be reasonably confident of getting a good dining experience (Marlena's and Simona's are the others).

Octavio and Christina have a fabulous menu of ribs, chicken, steak, fish and tacos. The restaurant is open year round, the prices are good and the BBQ is to die for. I had the best grilled whole pacific lobster. It was huge. My husband had a steak that he
We have been here numerous times with good results. We sit on the street tables as it can get loud and hot inside. What kept is coming back was, one night they were busy( pretty much always) and the service was poor and the wait was at the unacceptable level. We kept ordering margaritas as the food just wasn't forth coming. When we got our ribs they were dry and not even close to what they usually do. I complained nicely and they competed the meal and drinks. I wasn't happy they did all that but they did it without skipping a beat. We have been going there for years. The old location as well as the new one. We like the ribs and will not let our one problem sway is. And they handled the situation like you would hope they would.
