San Marcos is a typical Mexican restaurant (for the USA). It has a large menu of reasonably priced appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The food was good and was served promptly. Since we were driving up 220 and needed dinner, this was far better than fast food options.

i love the food here ,it is so good ,the beer is always cold and the staff is very nice .The resturant is close to where i live and love to go there .
This is our "go-to" for large gatherings. They have a huge party room in the back of the restaurant (with a door to the outside so your party can enter directly in to the room) which we utilize almost monthly! The service is great. The food is amazingly good. And since we use the party room the kids are able to get up and move around without bothering other diners. We love, love, love this place! They also have the cheapest lunch specials around. You cannot go to a fast food restaurant and get a cheaper meal. It's a must if you are in the Madison area.

This place has always been fairly good until now. The kid at the register was great. The food preparation was unbelievably pitiful. Here is a picture of my nachos supreme, which is about 99% chips and barely anything else. I essentially just paid nearly $4 for a plate of chips.
My wife and I have eaten at several Rio Grande's around Greensboro and they are usually very good. Our visit to the Madison location for Taco Tuesday was a horrible experience. First problem was the attitude of the server,he acted like we were an inconvenience to him. Second the tacos tasted horrible, they had no flavor to them and the meat looked like cat food. Third the server never came back to refill our drinks. We were both worried we would be sick but thankfully we survived. I will never go back to the Madison location.
