I go to Chipolte whenever I am near one, and Matthews location is the nearest to me. I like organic, and Chiopote is organic and they buy from producers who treat their animals well. No pesticides or antibiotics to do crazy things to my health. Plus one of their bowls has everything I need in it to make a complete Healthy meal. And Does It Taste Great !!!!!!!!!! The Price is Right !!!!! The Staff Are Friendly !!!! It is Clean !!!!!!

Rethink your relationship with mexican... Go beyond the border!!! Serving North Carolina since 1989.
I was in Matthews to visit my brother and his family. He suggested we have dinner at Mi Pueblo. He and his wife had recently gone there for the first time with friends and had liked it a lot. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed as my brother and sister-in-law.We were there on a weeknight. Not many other customers. We sat outside in the large patio area where they have a waterfall wall (and heat lamps for cooler weather).Service was reasonably friendly, but fairly slow and uneven. I'm guessing that our server was trying to cover inside tables and outside tables at the same time. Perhaps they were thinly staffed for a slow midweek evening. The food was "okay", but nothing to make me want to come back. I was initially excited to see street tacos on the menu, so I ordered three tacos al pastor. They were over-spiced and unlike any tacos al pastor I've ever had. Disappointing.Overall, Mi Pueblo is okay, not really great. The patio area could be a nice place to gather with friends. I probably won't return, myself.
We ate there for lunch and it is simply healthy and good. Friendly service and very pleased with the simple meal. I had a veggie burrito it seems. I normally always get guacamole too. Anyway, I enjoyed the food and it was filling.

First time visit with our family of five in this remodeled restaurant. The tacos were good - as well as the draft beer selections. We will come back.

This is a fun, busy restaurant. Our waiter was great. He refilled our chips several times. The amount of food you get will certainly be enough to fill the hungriest person! The kids get free dessert with their meal. We really enjoyed our experience here, & we will return very soon.

Very good Mexican food. I like that they serve the salsa for chips in a little container and give everyone their own little dish. No pressure if you're a double dipper! Our waiter (NOE?) was a riot and very helpful and responsive. My dish was Filete Mazatlan which was shrimp and tilapia served over rice and chips with a delicious sauce all over everything. Delicious! The other three in our group liked their choices too. Ordered a 60 oz pitcher of margaritas. A real bargain!

This was our first stop at the Matthews location after previous stops at the Steele Creek location. The Mathews location is a better fit for us. Much more seating and more family friendly. We stopped in for an early Saturday dinner. There was no wait and plenty of seating available. The food arrived quickly and the portions were incredible. $41 provided a meal for two adults and two kids, with some food not finished. The portions are really generous though the food is so tasty you will not want to stop. After reading many articles in the Charlotte Agenda about how wonderful Sabor is, we wanted to try many dishes. My kids shared the supreme nachos, for a meal! My wife and I even helped. I had two tacos autenicos and a gordita.... yeah, I was a bit ambitious. The tacos had so much meat on them. For the price I expected half as much. Tons of flavor and the cilantro sealed the deal. My gordita was huge. I loved the black beans inside. I used some of the pineapple habenero salsa to spice things up. We left stuffed and talking about how amazing the food was. This was probably one of the best meals we have had in Charlotte which makes the price even more unbelievable. We will be eating at the various Sabor often.
Where to eat Middle Eastern food in Matthews: The Best Restaurants and Bars

While deciding on where to eat dinner, we decided on Azteca since it has been several years since weâd been there. Couldnât remember why we didnât go back, but now I do.The entrance looked a little cluttered to me, with a lot of Mexican items and decor. I think the restaurant looked a little outdated and needs some updating, maybe some fresh paint or something. It was dark and maybe some lighter colors would help. It looked exactly the way it did the last time we ate there in the '90s.The restaurant had a 97.5 sanitation grade which is good. We were seated in a booth and while looking at the menu, I remembered that we stopped coming here because itâs overpriced. My husband and I both got the two tacos from the combination menu. They were good, but honestly, we can get them somewhere else that tastes better and is cheaper. The rice was dry and I added some salsa to it to give it some flavor and moisture. I don't eat beans so I can't tell you if they were good or not. I felt the salsa tasted watery, but it did still have a kick to it. Tacos were flavorless in my opinion and were filled with way too much lettuce. There is a gentlemen who goes from table to table making fresh guacamole, but we didnât order any.Our server was very friendly and was very attentive, sorry I didnât get her name, but she was a pretty blonde and was very busy. She kept my husbandâs Coke refilled, which made him happy.I wish I could say weâd go back, but I really donât we will; no complaints, just overpriced.
