Everyone in the neighborhood kept saying try Aby's for great Mexican food, so we finally did. I guess I'm in the minority because it definitely wasn't my favorite. I wanted the enchiladas, but with flour tortilla shells instead of corn, but they could not accommodate the request. I was told the only dishes with flour tortillas were the Burritos or the Fajitas. So, I ordered a ground beef Burrito and it was literally just one large four tortilla stuffed with plain ground beef. No beans. No cheese. No onion. The meat wasn't even seasoned! It came with a side order of rice and refried beans, but the waiter did bring black beans, at my request. Everything was very plain. Even the chips could have been better. They weren't salted and they weren't warm like I've had in other local restaurants. I noticed that no matter which dish you got (the burrito, enchilada, taco) the meat was exactly the same in each dish, whether it was beef pork, chicken, etc., and none of it was seasoned. Instead, they seemed to rely on their sauces. I ordered the mild which was barely visible - just a hint of red sauce under the burrito. My Husband ordered the tacos and asked for the really hot sauce. The sauce was definitely hot! But he said the meat in the tacos was also plain and unseasoned. Maybe we just caught them on an off night, but it didn't feel that way, and it left me with no desire to return. Service was the one thing that was good. Our waiter was familiar with the menu, friendly, and attentive. If you do go, remember that it's BYOB; maybe that's what people like about it? But overall, for me, it was a very average dining experience. Disappointing.

Two things: The food was okay, but it was more Tex-Mex; all the great Mexican platters than Pancho Villa's (previous management) had are gone. And the dish that Mark ordered that was supposed to be three burritos came with only two, which he didn't realize until after we left (because who memorizes the menu?).
They are new so while they are 3 stars right now Iâm giving them the advantage by awarding 4. I hope they will make some easy changes to earn it. The chips and salsa need to be homemade. The bottled salsa resembles ketchup. Cutting up tortillas and frying them and adding a little salt will be amazing. The chicken wings were very good but the carrots and celery sitting in the sauce was not. Easy fix. The tacos al Pastor were very good even if not done on a spit. Add a little more pineapple and itâs a winner. I imagine the clientele will order fajitas all day. People like what theyâre familiar and comfortable with but I think if you make your cuisine truly authentic it will be great. Donât Americanize. If customers want that theyâre going to Taco Bell. Keep up the good work. Iâll be back

Taco Bell is Taco Bell what more can you say. I would like to see a cleaner dining area and friendlier staff, but then again like I said it is a fast food place.
